Furnas Apartment

Die Lage der Unterkunft war prima, ich würde Furnas als Ausgangspunkt für eine Inselerkundung sehr empfehlen. Die Aussicht der Wohnung ist super schön, die Wohnung selbst ist riesig und hell. Es gab sogar Netflix und eine Waschmaschine. Ein Pluspunkt ist auch der eigene Parkplatz. Die Gastgeberin war freundlich und hat auf Nachfrage viele Tipps per Whatsapp geschickt. Wir werden gerne wieder kommen, in der Hoffnung, dass die Wohnung etwas mehr gepflegt wird (siehe unten)

Die Küche weißt ziemliche Gebrauchsspuren auf und ist nicht besonders gut ausgestattet (es gibt wenige Töpfe, Kochzubehör und Geschirr), das Bett war sehr weich und die Kissen müssten erneuert werden), das Bidet war defekt.Für den Preis haben wir schon einen etwas besseren Standard erwartet, aber wir kommen trotzdem gerne wieder

the location was perfect- easy walking distance to restaurants, a lovely cocktail bar, supermarkets, botanical gardens and lake furnas. would definitely stay again. furnas is a much prettier town than the capital and we felt like there was a lot more to do in furnas than any other towns on the island so were really happy to have a beautiful apartment in the centre with views over the town.

Excellent location in the centre of Furnas, easy 15-20 minute walk to both popular hot spring areas. This location was also well situated to explore the Eastern side of the island and drive into Ponta Delgada for anything else needed. There are three grocery stores on the street (one just downstairs!) so very convenient to stock up. We cooked a lot and many of the things we needed were available in the kitchen. View from the bedroom was gorgeous and we saw rainbows several days! The jacuzzi tub was also a nice bonus, and having access to the washing machine was very convenient. The unit has A/C with heating and cooling so we were very comfortable even on rainy and windy days. The couch was also comfortable to hang out and watch some TV.

We had to stock up on some basic amenities ourselves which wasn't a huge problem due to close grocery stores (dish soap, spices, oil, etc). The toilet seat doesn't seem to quite fit the toilet properly so shifts often when sitting down. Overall the host was very lovely though and helped us with any issues so we would still highly recommend! She even gave us a bottle of sparkling wine as we were there over New Years.

Owner quickly available by text, great walkable location with beautiful views of green mountains and beautiful Portuguese church from windows/doors. Private garaged parking space, convenient in apartment washing machine and drying rack, a large roomy space.

The apartment is showing signs of wear and tear, main kitchen cabinet for the garbage can has broken hinge and falls with use, water leaking from kitchen faucet-my husband fixed by tightening it, shower water leaks onto floor during shower, bidet broke which we don’t use anyways so that didn’t matter, very uncomfortable pillows to sleep on which need to be replaced. Would of liked having a second key so my husband could leave without me but without a second key that was difficult to get back into the building and I would have to leave the apartment door unlocked which made me uncomfortable. Currently there is exterior repair work being done which creates some dust/dirt and noise especially when a tenant is arguing with the workers.
