Captains Quarters, Ocean Walk Life Resort on Daytona Beach.
We are pleased to report that the resort came through the hurricanes with no major damage, and all amenities, including beach access were not impacted.
This luxurious resort vacation condo offers breathtaking ocean views with amenities and plenty of activities for both children and adults. An ideal family destination.
North Tower Luxury Newly Updated! Spectacular 20th floor oceanfront condominium with 2 balconies!! Beautiful newly remodeled condo has a full kitchen, washer/dryer in unit, and free high speed Wi-Fi. The primary bedroom has a king size bed with en suite includes large jacuzzi tub and separate shower. The second bedroom consists of 2 queen beds with separate private ocean and river view balcony along with a second full bathroom. The living room has 2 queen size sofa sleepers and balcony which looks out over the beach and ocean.
For the entire family, this resort is a watery paradise, whether you opt to play in the pools - there are two outdoor heated pools - or run into the waves. There's a water slide and lazy river where kids (and adults) can float lazily along on tubes. One pool includes an interactive, aquatic island playground. Ocean Walk's beach is car-free and kid-friendly.
The resort is right on the sand making quick runs to your room throughout the day easy for snacks or breaks from the sun. You can't ask for a more well-rounded vacation spot! Indoor mini golf, a fitness center, game room and programs for both kids and adults.
Situated next to the famous Daytona Beach bandshell, you can enjoy frequent concerts presented by well-known artists, numerous special events, as well as athletic competitions that continue to make Daytona a popular destination. A short walk up the Boardwalk to the pier allows for fishing, rides or some great fun food. Walk across the street to Daytona Lagoon, a water park that's fun for the entire family. Absolutely loved this condo! It was so beautiful, decorated perfectly, comfy beds, beautiful views of both the beach and the river which was awesome because we could watch the sunrise and the sunset. The owners were great! I’d definitely stay here again.

The room should have been cleaner. The couch looked like it had cat or dog hair all over it. The mirrors were streaked, tubs were not clean.

Our stay at Ocean Walk was wonderful! Check-in was smooth, unit was clean and amenities at the resort were great! The kitchen could have used a few more standard items. Overall we enjoyed the property, especially the location, and the view was amazing!

The condo itself was quite nice; however, it could have been cleaned a little better. The floor wasn't particularly clean and the drawers had trash in them. The condo could have been better stocked. Most vrbo properties we have stayed at have basics such as salt and pepper, coffee filter, conditioner, little lotions. This condo had none of these items. There were plenty of towels which was nice and the decor was very nice. The biggest issue we had was the divide going on at the property. We were handed a calendar of activities when we checked in. When we went to participate, we were told we were not allowed since the activities were only for those staying with Wyndham. I thought we were staying at Wyndham but apparently there is a split at the property. When we went to the front desk for additional shampoo, they went to hand my husband shampoo and when they saw he had a red band, they said sorry, that's only for our customers. I don't know what is going on at the property, but as customers the war going on between the hoa and management company should not be taken out on the customers that have no clue what is going on. We were also told that room service is not available for us as well even though there is a magnet on the fridge. I really felt like a second class citizen and took to hiding my band. It was really embarrassing. I would suggest if you are booking this resort, find out if it is directly with Wyndham or Ocean Walk, it absolutely makes a difference how you are treated. I am not sure if the owners of this nice unit are aware of how severe the issues are at the resort.
