Guests of "TIME IN A BOTTLE" feel like they have been dropped in a scene of a Nicholas Sparks novel. This quaint craftsman cottage has all the character of a beach house straight from a romantic novel. This west beach home towers over the waves of the Atlantic ocean and is just steps from the point. Guest will feel like they are on the oceans edge.
Guests love the feeling of privacy this property offers. The multiple vacant lots on both sides of the home contributes to the endless views and the quiet and relaxing atmosphere. Our property is clean and well maintained. The host and owners are local and are dedicated to providing their guests with the best experience possible. The living and dining area is on the main level and offers endless ocean views. The family room, with access to the oceanfront deck, is open to the kitchen with a breakfast bar and seating for 4. The kitchen is fully stock with everything guests will need to prepare meals from breakfast to dinner. The attached dining space with 4 chairs is surrounded by windows and has direct access to a cozy screened in porch, an ideal place to enjoy lunch or a seafood feast!
TIME IN A BOTTLE sleeps 6 guests with 3 bedrooms. There are two oceanfront King bedrooms, both offering walls of windows to take in the amazing ocean views. The third bedroom is appointed with a queen bed and an ocean viewing window, that can be closed for additional privacy.
The master bedroom has an attached bath with a separate tub and shower. The second bath is located off the hallway and offers a tub and shower combination. There is a powder room on the main level.
Guests will find themselves spending hours taking in the waves and the soaring Pelicans from the covered oceanfront deck. The stairs from the deck lead you to the sand with direct access to the beach.
The laundry room is located just off the kitchen and laundry detergent is provided. The spacious outdoor shower with hot and cold water is easy accessible to rinse off after a day at the beach. There is a new gas grill on the ground level readily available for grilling your fresh catch or variety of the local seafood.
Upon arrival, guests will find beds dressed with luxury cotton linens and bathrooms stocked with towels and paper goods. Four new Smart TVs with wireless internet. Enjoy a variety of board games, puzzles, and books, stocked and ready for a relaxing evening at home.

Fantastic – that’s the one word to describe our first visit to Oak Island. Time in a Bottle is the perfect house for a beach getaway. We’ve never stayed at a beach where we had this much privacy and room on the sand. With at least 50 yards of open beach on both sides of our setup, it truly felt like we had our own private stretch of coastline. The house itself is beautifully decorated, with super comfortable beds and every amenity you could possibly need, including a grill – which was a game changer for us. We loved being able to cook fresh seafood without having to go out to eat every night. The location is ideal, just a short walk to the point, and we enjoyed morning walks collecting shells and taking in the peaceful views. Amy was easy to contact, and her home is so well organized, with everything clearly labeled, making our stay effortless. What more could a guest ask for? We’re already looking forward to returning to Oak Island and staying at Time in a Bottle again.

Perfect beach house....amazing views of the ocean from the moment you walk in the door! I believe this is the best stocked beach house we've ever rented. Can't think of anything that was missing. Comfortable beds, linens, towels galore, beach towels, beach chairs, and well stocked kitchen!
