~ 1 Mi to Lake: Secluded Poconos Home w/ Decks

Home was clean and not far from Jim Thorpe (the reason for our stay). Multiple restaurants close by. Dollar general down the road. Pool/beach/lake access 5 minutes from the house. Washer and dryer worked well. Home was the perfect size. Outdoor fire pit with folding chairs that are kept inside. My kids LOVED the Wii.

The outside could’ve been up-kept a little better (weed eat, pressure wash the decks). When we first arrived the lock box was sticking and wouldn’t open. Neither contact answer their phone or returned my message. We eventually got it open but after driving 5 hours with two kids I was getting worried. Beds were small and uncomfortable but that’s typical for hotels/vacation homes. The outdoor pool was supposed to be heated but it was freezing and had tons of bugs and leafs.

Extremely clean, well maintained, welcoming, the list could go on. Definitely will be coming back and would recommend to anyone thinking about booking.

It was comfortable and heated up quickly. It had pretty much everything we needed, and was close to town. The location in the woods was charming. We loved the fireplace.

The water had a weird taste to it. Most of the pans were old nonstick, which isn't safe to cook in.
