About this apartment rental

Stay in one of Harlingen’s most beautiful spots!

Harlingen is a vibrant city: not only are the lively harbors and the charming downtown with its beautiful facades what make Harlingen well worth a visit, but its location right on the Wadden Sea (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) also makes our city truly special!

It’s also a truly lovely place: the vacation rental is located on the first and second floors, from where you can enjoy a wonderful view of the outdoors—in complete privacy—while lounging on the cushions on the wide windowsills. You can relax in a comfortable living room (approx. 40 m²) with a fully equipped kitchen. Everything you need is provided for cooking, enjoying breakfast, having a drink, and simply relaxing… Of course, there’s also a smart TV and Wi-Fi. On the same floor is the spacious master bedroom (approx. 28 m²) with a luxurious king-size bed featuring box-spring mattresses.

On the top floor is the well-maintained bathroom (approx. 6 m²) with a sink and shower stall, a washing machine, and a small freezer. The second bedroom (approx. 10 m²) is also located there, featuring a small double bed and a single bed.
Behind the building, there may be space to store bicycles.

Harlingen has a lot to offer: of course, everything related to water sports—the harbors, its nautical history, the “brown fleet,” and the ferries—but also plenty of great shops, restaurants, charming streets and alleys, museums, activities, and events. Take, for example, the Tall Ships visiting Harlingen again this summer: a unique event in July during which many remarkable sailing ships from all over the world will sail into Harlingen. Or the Harlingen-Terschelling race. Harlingen also has its own pottery: Harlinger Aardewerk and another pottery factory. There’s even a beach with a cozy beach bar just outside the city center!

We spent a week in this beautiful apartment right in the historic centre of Harlingen and enjoyed every single day.Janneke is a wonderful and very welcoming host who has furnished the apartment very stylishly with great attention to detail. You immediately feel at home and the apartment has everything you need. We have rarely had such a perfectly equipped holiday apartment.The highlight of the apartment, apart from the incredibly comfortable and large bed in the bedroom, is of course its location right by the Zuiderhaven. It was simply wonderful to enjoy the view of the hustle and bustle in the harbour and Harlingen's old town from the living room through the large windows, sitting on the window sills or in one of the comfortable chairs with a glass of wine ;-) If you want to visit Harlingen, this apartment is definitely the best place to stay in the whole of Harlingen and Janneke is the best host you could imagine.
