About this villa rental
This cozy country house is ideal for families or groups of friends who want to disconnect from everyday life and immerse themselves in a peaceful, natural setting.
The villa sleeps 20 people, BUT you must include all guests in the reservation, as the price varies depending on the number of people. If there are more than 16 guests, please notify the host.
Located in a rural area of Higüey called La Tranquera. About 18 minutes from the Cathedral Basilica of Our Lady of Altagracia and the town’s shopping centers. Close to the most beautiful beaches on the country’s eastern coast. About 35 minutes from Punta Cana, 20 minutes from Bayahibe/La Romana, and 22 minutes from Boca de Yuma.
6 air-conditioned bedrooms. 6 bathrooms with hot water, towels, shower gel, and toilet paper.
Iron and hair dryer.
Internet access throughout the property.
3 fully equipped kitchens, including one with a wood-burning stove. Permanent electricity supply.
For an additional fee, subject to availability, we offer a chef on call and daily housekeeping service.
Air-conditioned living room with TV featuring cable and Netflix; the air-conditioned dining room is located in the same space.
Swimming pool. Unheated.

We have several access routes: via the Autovía del Coral or through Higuey.
If you enter via the highway, you’ll see a small sugarcane field; if it rains, the road may be muddy since there’s no paved surface for about 2 minutes. We therefore recommend contacting us before your arrival so we can help you determine which route is best for you.
Although the road isn’t paved, it’s easy to access. Depending on the route you take, you can drive a small or large car. Free and ample parking is available.

Let me tell you about my trip to the Dominican Republic—it was technically for business, but it felt like much more. The property was huge, but I was the only guest. I chose this place because it’s between Higuey and the resort area, giving me options in my free time. Though I was alone, the host, Dilenia, made sure I never felt isolated, graciously inviting me to her family’s gatherings, making it personal and special.
The property looked just like the pictures—clean, inviting, and perfect for families or groups. The real gem: if you stay here, pay for the chef! His food was incredible. Every meal was an event. I’m a salt, pepper, and hot sauce guy, but trust me, you won’t need any of that here. Even a simple breakfast of eggs, bacon, and toast was next level. The bacon is different from what we get in the States—fresh from the market, not prepackaged. I even got to go with the chef to the market, and it was amazing.
I rented a car but hired one of the staff to drive me around instead. Driving in the DR is wild—mopeds everywhere, and no one follows the rules. The property is a straight shot from the airport, but if you’re driving, do it in daylight—trust me. At night, the dirt road to the house is pitch black, like something out of a horror movie.
I had a blast, especially when Chavez, my driver, took me to local bars and a disco. I’ll definitely be back, next time with family and friends. Until next time, DR, I’ll miss you—and especially you, Dilenia!

The place was very clean, nicely decorated, comfortable, and perfectly located. The host pays attention to all of the little details, and the place is well stocked with anything you would need. We would definitely love to come back!
