We have stayed at the Riverhouse on the Hiwassee three times and it is always perfect. There is plenty of space for our entire family to spread out, furnishings and amenities are well thought out and in good condition, and the setting cannot be beat. It is close to Murphy but it feels like it could in another world. There is nothing like sitting on the porch with a good book and watching the river roll past. We will definitely return.

We stayed here for our anniversary. It was a perfect spot for us. The kitchen is stocked well. The bed was very comfortable. The outside sitting spots were great. We would definitely stay here again. Quiet spot to relax.

This home is in a great location on the river and is nicely furnished and equipped, BUT when we checked in on Friday the yard was knee high in weeds and in the walk way to the side stairs. The chairs next to the river were not usable as the weeds/grass was as high as the backs of the chairs. The yard was finally mowed mid week and the clippings were just left everywhere. The home appears to be still under construction. The stair way going to the 2nd floor was unfinished 2x8's with paint all over them and construction debris was under the porches and along the side of the home. The home was nicely furnished and equipped, but it really needs to be finished before renting.
