This was our second stay at the Swedish Fish - everything was as we remembered it, comfortable and lovely, but it was when a wind storm took out the power that our stay got really special. Our host, Sarah immediately checked in on us. Her husband, Todd, brought us flashlights and drinking water (which we only needed for a little while before he and a neighbor got a generator going which got the water going again) and he built a fire in the wood-burning stove for us! He did all this when we all thought the power was going to be restored by like 7 that evening and we were so glad he did because the power did not get restored before we left. But we were cozy and comfortable the whole time. Sarah and Todd are just the loveliest people and this group of friends will definitely be back again and again! Also, the beds and bedding are just extravagantly comfortable and there are super soft throw blankets scattered all over the common areas. And the view of the lake is beautiful and relaxing.

The house is so inviting and friendly. Room for all. Stocked with so many things and decorated for each season. Comfortable beds, inclusive family space, back deck and dock are always used for enjoying the scenes/water.

Our family party of 10 had 3 generations and ranged in age from 20 to 70. We all had the BEST time at the property! The outdoor space, views, and weather was the difference maker in making this one of our best family vacations. We enjoyed kayaking, paddle boarding, and swimming in the lake. Aside from the open lake, there's a beautiful cove just left of the property that is majestic to kayak through! We also played games on the deck and even enjoyed some badminton. One outing day to Seattle/Pikes Place Market was a 1-1.5 hr drive and we found a few local trails other days within a 15-20 min drive that were fun with great views.

This was the perfect location for our annual Girls getaway, so much so that we decided to make it a bi annual event and use this location again. There were 8 of us, which meant everyone got their own bed, the dining table was set for 8 and having a family room to watch tv and work a puzzle, plus a living room where the couch and recliners were used to curl up with a book was fantastic. We also had walkers and kayakers in the group who got to meet the neighbors who were very friendly, one neighbor actually went out of their way to flag us down and tell us what a great group we were and shared a bottle of wine for us to enjoy! The house was also fully stocked with more than everything we needed!
