About this house rental
Just imagine waking up to a magnificent view over the calm waters of Lake Victoria. A mob of kangaroos will be grazing on the lush green grass of the front garden. The Kangaroo dad, just like most dads, probably aware that you are watching, while the Swans just feed quietly in the Lake. Coffee time! Enjoy a complimentary espresso from the Lavazza coffee machine. The rear balcony gets the morning sun so a great place to read the paper and enjoy that second cup. The Bird House on the back railing of the rear balcony will keep you enthralled with Cockatoos, Galahs, Rainbow Lorikeets, Parrots, Magpies all competing for the supplied birdseed. A short 5 min walk along the path around the beach on Lake Victoria will get you to the supermarket to sort the daily supplies. Now the hard decisions! Spend some time on the beach located just in front of the house? Boating ? Boat ramp is only 300 meters away. Maybe get rid of the kids by sending them to the skate park near the supermarket? Fishing for Snapper or gummy shark on the Surf beach ? Golf? Bowls? Stand up paddle boarding? There is also the games room with a TV , playstation 4 and an assortment of games.
The large main outdoor balcony with a table for 8 and a Webber gas bbg will provide a magnificent setting for dinner . The colourful birds will keep you company while you watch the swans swimming on the lake. The view of the sunset over the lake is breathtaking and if you are lucky you may even see a dolphin or two.
At night open the windows and enjoy the cool breeze flowing through the house of lake Victoria. Even though the surf beach is one km away as the crow flies. the hypnotic sound of the waves crashing on the 90 mile beach will gently send you to sleep..

The property was in a great location, had a fabulous deck and view. The kitchen wasn't very clean when we checked in and the spaces were a little cluttered, but once we cleared the spaces and did a clean, we were really happy with the property. The kids loved the games room and the deck area was really spectacular with really tasteful furniture. Just with the listing it says 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, but important to note that the third bedroom and second bathroom are not attached to the house and are downstairs (the main house in on the top level). Our kids would not sleep in the third bedroom and slept in the house with the double bed in the second bedroom, no issue for us, but may be for families with more than two children. Overall, a lovely stay, really well priced for the time of year, I would absolutely recommend and come back. The communication was great, I really appreciated the heads up from the hosts on things to buy at a bigger supermarket like mosquito repellent and they told us the type of coffee pods to buy that weren't available in the town, which I though was great. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Whispering Palms is located directly in front of Lake Victoria, and gave our family a very welcome getaway in Loch Sport. The house is light, bright, fresh and clean with great attention to detail and care by the owners. We particularly loved the full-length balcony overlooking the lake, and ate most of our meals on the large outdoor table.
George was very helpful and responsive in his communication, making the whole process of renting and checking in seamless. He provided us with a wealth of information on both the house and the area, which made our holiday very easy.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Whispering Palms and took advantage of all the activities on offer in Loch Sport from boating on the lake to surf fishing on 90 mile beach, and walks along the lakefront path enjoying the sunset and birdlife. We even saw dolphins and seals at Sperm Whale Head jetty in the National Park.
The local supermarket is really well-stocked and a short walk or drive away. We also tried the local eateries including Lakeside Bistro (great views of the sunset over the lake), the RSL (complete with a meat raffle), and the Lawn Bowls club (our favourite) which are all within walking distance.
All in all, Whispering Palms was the perfect place to stay and gave us the carefree and relaxing holiday we needed!
