About this house rental
This wonderful beach house with private pool is perfect for all your vacation needs! Centrally located one short block from beach and walking distance to Magic Sands and Kahaluu Beach Park.
Permitted 5 private bedrooms all with their own bathroom . The upper level has three bedroom suites two with plush king beds and a bedroom suite with a queen bed. On main level are two bedroom suites , one with a queen bed and two twins and one with a bunk bed and two twins. All of the rooms on the property are large and spacious.
You have several dining room areas - an interior dining room, exterior lanai facing the ocean, a covered lanai adjacent to the kitchen, and private backyard deck with BBQ, loungers, seating, and swimming pool!
The home features fully equipped kitchen, WIFI/High Speed Internet are provided. There is a huge flat screen TV in the living room and most bedrooms have TVs.
We start you off with supplies as a courtesy, 2 rolls of toilet paper per bathroom, paper towels, and soap.
The home is decorated with tropical touches sure to bring a smile to your face. Beautiful grounds with private courtyard and garden are well maintained.
There are many places on the property to sit back and relax; either privately or with your friends and family.
This beautiful beach home is located on one of the quietest, relaxed, and established neighborhoods in Kailua Kona, and still is close to everything. You won't have to deal with the constant roar of traffic on Kailua Kona's main coast road - Alii Drive.
It’s a short walk to three of the best beaches in Kona. The first is White sands beach which the locals call Magic Sands swimming, boogie boarding, and snorkeling in the clear blue water are a must... On the south end of the Beach Park is a secluded cove that is perfect for snorkeling or shore entry scuba diving with volcano swim thru tubes. In the center of the Park is an ancient Hawaiian Heiau (spiritual place).
Short Walk south is the famous snorkeling beach, Kahaluu. Kahaluu offers easy access to the undersea population of green sea turtles and colorful tropical fish of every description. Gentle waves on the far side are great for easy surfing, with a surf shop across the street if you need lessons.
After a glorious day in the sun, it is just a short stroll back to White Sands Beach to watch a spectacular romantic Kona sunset. Watch the sunset each evening from the comfort of your lounge chair, mai-tai in hand, on the lanai.

We want you to have the best vacation possible and always take enormous time insuring that everything is fresh and inviting; including the towels, sheets and all linens; that the furnishings are well maintained and updated, and that the yard and deck are ready and waiting for you.

Good Neighbor Policy:
(a) Quiet hours shall be from 8:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m., during which time the noise from the home shall not unreasonably disturb adjacent neighbors.
(b) Sound that is audible beyond the property boundaries during non-quiet hours shall not be more excessive than would be otherwise associated with a residential area.
Housekeeping Items:
1) The house has a very 'open layout concept', and windows, shades should be left open to allow the optimal wind and ocean flow through the house and various rooms. As the house is open and airy, if you leave dirty dishes and food lying around, we will not be responsible if it attracts ants, mice, mongoose, birds and rats.. The house is regularly bombed and pest sprayed. If your practice is 'clean' and 'tidy' you will not have any problems. The open concept allows the occasional native critters (like gecko) to pay guests a visit. This property may not be for you if you are afraid of our native friends.
2) There are no AC. The house is situated a block away from the beach - open the slider windows for cool ocean breeze to flow through the bedrooms. There are ceiling fans in the living room and the five bedrooms.
3) For security purposes, we do have exterior cameras (pool area plus external grounds). We do not hide their positions and they are in very visible locations.
4) We will send you a house rules/short term rental contract to sign prior to providing check-in instructions. Please have all adults of your party read and sign the form!
5) Complementary supplies: Guests are provided 2 rolls of toilet paper per toilet, 2 rolls of paper towel, some laundry soap/shampoo to get your vacation started. It is your responsibility to provide yourselves with these items when the complimentary supplies we provide are depleted.
6) In order to get accurate pricing, please enter the correct number of adults and children. There is an additional cost of $35/per person/night beyond 8 guests.

Our host Khanh Nguyen was most welcoming, accommodating & easy to contact. This 5 bedroom home was perfect for our 4 families. Each family had their own room & bathroom which assured each one privacy & rest when needed. The full kitchen with open floorplan dining area & living room was spacious. The porch or lanai was perfect for our large family of 14 to talk about our adventures each day & make plans for the next day. The front balcony is where we enjoyed many a sunset. Our group included 2 grandparents , 3 adult children & their spouses & 6 grandchildren (2 for each family) Ages 10 to 18. Kona offered many beautiful beaches . Magic Sands short walk nearby. Some Night swam with Rays, stargazed, volcano, snorkeled, boogie boards, surfed, played in the waves. So much to do & so much more to do. A HUI HOU and MAHALOHouse was clean, well equipped with a gas BBQ & a washer & dryer each floor. Costco, Walmart & Safeway nearby. We celebrated Christmas there! Many finds in carport of boogie boards, water shoes & snorkel gear as well as pool toys near pool. A vacation of a lifetime. Of course would love to return.

I liked that the house was well stocked with shampoo & soaps in the bathrooms. In the kitchen it too was well stocked with condiments, that you didn’t have to go add shopping for, plastic wrap, foil, coffee pretty much everything you need withouthaving to go to the store.Easy to walk to beach the pool was tiny but it was good enough to get in, get wet, and cool off. Large eating areas for a big group, like our team members. We were a group of 12. We would probably stay again. It was the no air conditioning that got to me but there were ceiling & floor fans in every room which really helped.

We had a party of 10 the fact that it had 5 bedrooms and all bedrooms had there own bath was awesome.
The house needs some work:
Several blinds broken with this being the only window covering privacy can be a issue.
The last bedroom in the back of the house bed is terrible sunken in to the middle beds skirt ripped this bed needs replaced they tried just putting on a foam pad. The bathtub needs scrubbed you can scrape the sides and it's gross.
Loved having two washers and dryers they came in so handy with a large family who packed light.
Kitchen needs more frying pans other than that well equipped if you want to cook.
Loved the grill we has a grill night.
The pool was dirty when we came but on Tuesday they did have the pool guy there and it was cleaned.
The outdoor shower by the pool spigot is leaking.
The pool deck needs a lots of help and could be dangerous several broken pieces a few sticking up.
We enjoyed the pool one day of our stay not very deep or big but was enjoyed 😀 👍.
Loved the outside table we all used this area often.
One of the chairs is broken on the inside table. Living room couch is a little dated. Loved that they had Netflix and Disney plus we had a two year old.
They had plenty of fans house does not have air-conditioning I was a bit worried but going in January the nights get a bit cooler days are hot but we we're gone most days.
Lots of extra things in the closet off the living room some baby things toys, extra fans, each room has its own ceiling fan and had fans in the closet.
We loved all the extra thing like lawn chairs, umbrellas, ice chest, beach towels.
With a little bit of love this house could be brought back to life.
If you stay in the bedroom in the living room don't lock the door and the door to the bathroom no key was provided to us and we got locked out. Good thing it has a open space at the top 😉.
Overall we enjoyed our stay finding a house with a decent price range for bigger families is hard and we appreciate you offering your home to people.
