About this apartment rental

9th Street West Retreat is one unit of a recently remodeled duplex, that is inviting you to come enjoy the slower paced life in Port Orford. Spend your days inside relaxing, or adventure outside to the nearby rivers, beaches and lake.

Enjoy our fully stocked kitchen. Spanning granite counter tops, farmhouse sink, dishwasher, full size refrigerator and a glass top cook stove. You only need to bring your groceries!

Electric kettle, stove top kettle, electric coffee pot and pour over coffee maker are all provided.

Rest and relax in the cozy living room that offers a large mounted flat screen TV and electric fireplace.

Enjoy hot showers in our full size shower/ bathtub combo. And fall asleep in the spacious bedroom on a king mattress and new linens.

Also offered is a small laundry room with stackable washer and dryer for your use.

LOCATION:
Located within walking distance to Garrison Lake and some our favorite beaches: Battle Rock State Park, Tseriadun State Park, and the Port of Port Orford. Enjoy hours of beachcombing, boating, fishing, whale watching or bird watching.

Around the corner, in every direction, are popular local food establishments: Crazy Norwegians, Cafe Gemma, Redfish Golden Harvest and Portside Cafe and Portside Deli and Market; just to name a few.

Venture North and you can tour the Cape Blanco Light House or the Historical Hughes House. If adventure if what you seek, enjoy the crystal clear waters of the Elk or Sixes Rivers either swimming or fishing....depending on the season.

I found everything but a piece of paper to let you know that we washed the dishes and started a load of towels before we left. We didn't use the tub. The front door "sticks" a bit, but the security entry pad works fine. Nice decor and thoughtful items in room.

This place has everything I could have needed, and more. Decor was charming, little details like the snacks, books, binoculars, battery candles, etc. made me feel pampered & special. Bed was comfy. The place was spotless. Christy was personable and responsive to inquiries (mostly on how to use the modern appliances. Everything is much newer than what I’m used to.) This was my first VRBO ever and they’ve set the bar very high.

This home was everything and Christy was the best host ever. From the time I checked in, everything was exactly as listed. The home was roomy, extremely clean, well appointed and the perfect location to walk to everything in Port Orford. The bed was oh so comfortable. And even the sofa was so comfortable I could have slept on it! There was one point where the city had warned the water might be shut off, but Christy came to the rescue with huge bottles of water even though it didn't end up being necessary. What a host! Seriously, Christy is amazing and this place is a true gem. I will definitely be back.

We enjoyed our stay here. The host put a thought into this rental. Real toilet paper, good linens and towels. Nice bedding, hot water, and a night light for the bathroom. Wine and snacks waiting for us. Good TV options, great location and nicely decorated. We appreciated the washer and dryer after a week of traveling. The unit was clean and fresh flowers were we placed in several locations, which was lovely. Sometimes it's the little things that make a BIG difference. Thank you for caring and sharing your home.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Port Orford. This is the nicest rental we stayed in for our entire trip! It’s beautifully decorated, very clean, and conveniently located. The owner had everything to make our stay comfortable - lots of space, well equipped kitchen, washer/dryer, even left us goodies and fresh flowers. Communication was great - always answered our texts within minutes. Nice bathroom with shower/bath. Very comfortable king size bed. We couldn’t have asked for more. We would definitely stay here again!

We had 2 nights in this pretty house. There wasn't a thing lacking in this place but best of all it had the most comfortable bed I've slept in beside mine at home. We didn't cook anything but the kitchen looked fully stocked. There was a bottle of wine and 2 glasses waiting for us when we arrived and non-parishable snacks. There had been a water main break in Port Orford before we arrived. The owner called and told us about it and that she would provide plenty of bottled water for us. There were 4 gallons plus a case of bottled water in the refrigerator. When we visit Port Orford again we will definitely stay there.

Clean, bright and relaxing are the best adjectives for this Port Orford duplex. If you're looking for a very quiet, small town feel with access to many beaches, then this is property for you. It comes without a lot of tourists or the trappings of a tourist town so it's easy to feel right at home. The kitchen is well stocked if you prefer your own cooking with a grocery store near by. The bed was huge and comfy and the quiet neighborhood (really the whole town) made for a peaceful night's sleep. This is a fabulous choice for a low key vacation.

I travel a bunch and always use VRBO so I have had all kinds of places to stay. This was one of my favorites. The check in process was EASY! The place is not missing anything. Full kitchen was great as I used it to cook my meals. The touches from the owner are perfect-- fuzzy blankets, a warm fireplace and snacks. The fireplace was on and warm when I walked in and a great bottle of wine awaited me. Couldn't get any better! I was working at the Port down the street, so I could have even walked there. Washer and dryer was a great feature, even had soap to use. Bed was comfy and shower was great. Not a bad thing to say. The icing on the cake is that it is not a VACASA home so the experience couldn't be better.

This is a small rental, but perfectly sized for two people. It was very clean, the decor was tasteful, and it was well equipped with just what we needed. The wine and snacks that awaited us were a nice touch. The location was great for exploring the town and area. One small quibble, and maybe this is a generational thing, we were disappointed that the tv service was limited to streaming apps. Perhaps this should be noted in the property description.

Amazing one bedroom that had been recently remodeled. All the amenities you could hope for including coffee, tea, laundry, a recommendation book, oatmeal and bananas for breakfast. The room was big with a great bathroom. Everything was comfortable and freshly updated.
