About this house rental

Welcome to Jackpine Cottage, a beautifully renovated four-season retreat that blends modern comfort with historic charm. Nearly every part of the cabin has been upgraded, with one special exception — the original rustic floors, reclaimed from David’s Store, a beloved local landmark that was demolished decades ago. The repurposed wood brings warmth and history to every step you take inside.
The cottage comfortably accommodates up to 8 guests, though it’s coziest for families or groups with children. Sleeping arrangements include two bedrooms with pull-out single beds tucked beneath a queen and double bed, plus a fold-out double sofa bed in the living area.
Step outside and relax in the year-round hot tub, the perfect way to unwind after a day on the trails, at the beach, cross country skiing, ice fishing or exploring Victoria Beach. Enjoy morning coffee or evening conversations in the screened-in front porch, surrounded by thoughtful landscaping that enhance privacy and the outdoor experience.
Located right on the edge of the vehicle-restricted area of Victoria Beach, you’ll have the rare convenience of driving right up to the cottage to park. From the back of the property, a scenic forest trail leads directly into the restricted area and onto Pine Road — perfect for peaceful walks and bike rides without vehicle traffic. In the winter, this same trail connects to miles of groomed ski paths.
Now offering cross-country ski rentals! We have a variety of sizes available, though supply is limited to start. If you let us know your needs in advance, we can have a set ready for you upon arrival. Rental rates are available upon request, and we’ve kept them affordable by offering quality used skis at about half the standard rates.
Victoria Beach offers endless activities year-round — from cross-country skiing, ice fishing, snowmobiling, tobogganing, and skating in the winter, to pristine white-sand beaches, playgrounds, community events, and local favorites like the Village Green Bakery in the summer — all just a 5–10 minute bike ride from the cottage.
Come enjoy beach country and experience the perfect blend of history, comfort, and nature at Jackpine Cottage.

Three private cottages are thoughtfully spaced throughout the property, offering a peaceful and secluded retreat while still being close enough to accommodate larger groups when needed. Each cottage is fully separate and self-contained, with its own private hot tub, deck, and BBQ, allowing guests to enjoy plenty of privacy and their own space to relax. For extended families or groups of friends traveling together, the close proximity of the cottages offers the convenience of staying nearby while still enjoying the comfort of your own private getaway. Together, all three cottages can comfortably host up to 25 guests.

The cottage was very nice. It was clean and very well appointed. The hot tub was lovely and warm and clean. We forgot a couple of pillows and Marlene was extremely helpful getting them back to us.There were a couple of small downsides: We could not get the side gate open due to ice/snow when we arrived so we had to navigate a rather rough path to the back door with our supplies. I am 79 and I found that a bit treacherous. We were looking forward to having a fire but the fireplace kept smoking and triggering the alarm. We could not figure out how to stop that and we wound up giving up. Perhaps instructions would help? The price per night was very reasonable, but the cost of cleaning and applicable fees pretty much doubled our cost.

The place was great, had a frozen water line but we contacted the guy about it and he had it fixed in a couple hours which was great.
