About this villa rental
Magnificent house of 250m2 with swimming pool, out of sight in a wooded park of 3,600m2. With 4 adult bedrooms and 2 large attic and air-conditioned bedrooms, it is ideal for family stays. A real secret garden in the small town of Lacanau town, 1km from the lake and 15 minutes from the ocean beaches.

The outdoor terrace has 2 tables for 16 guests and 8-seater garden furniture with coffee tables to have an aperitif facing the pool.
The 11mx5m swimming pool is heated (from June to September) and protected by a perimeter alarm and a pool curtain. Pool games are available.
A high-end table tennis table is available on a large terrace at the back of the house.
A summer kitchen area with a large plancha is located on the side of the house, under the front of you, and communicates with the living room and kitchen.
The 3600m2 wooded park will appeal to children who will play hide-and-seek, and to adults who will rest in the shade of the oaks...
The house is elevated from the natural terrain. It is accessed by stairs. Then the house is organized on 3 levels. The first floor with all the common rooms and adult bedrooms. The first floor with the attic bedrooms and the basement with the laundry room.
The house is less than 5 minutes walk from all the shops, bars and restaurants of the village. You will find an organic supermarket, a supermarket, a bar, a Pub, 3 restaurants, a tea room, a wine shop, a butcher, market gardeners, 2 bakers and 1 Tobacco Press and above all the magnificent covered market on Saturday morning Place de la Gaité!

Excellent location, lovely pool and garden. Well equipped kitchen with plenty of storage space and work surfaces. Fridge space is tight; another in the kitchen or "cellar" for drinks would be good.There are only 3 showers and 2 toilets indoors for up to 15 people (we were 10 a toddler); manageable but not ideal.

Close to shops, lake, walking, cycling & restaurants. Quiet location with huge garden and lovely heated pool. Well equipped kitchen with plenty of worktop space. Comfortable and quiet bedrooms.
Would benefit from having more toilets and showers.

We’ve just had an amazing holiday in this perfect villa. 6 adults and 7 children. This Villa ticked all the boxes. The pool, table tennis and garden provided all the entertainment needed during the day and the great lounge and TV allowed the children to have some down time in the evening while the adults made the most of the outside dining area.
There is a large well equipped kitchen that makes food preparation very easy even for a large group.
The location is also great. Lacanau is a quiet town with adequate facilities including a great Boulangerie a minute walk away. Further a field, the lake is only 10 minutes in the car which provides, water sports and a splash park. Lacanau Ocean and the beach is only 18 minutes in the car.
Overall we would definitely recommend this Villa.

We were a party of ten - six adults and four children aged 2-9. We were welcomed by the charming Flora, who explained where everything was and how it all worked. We found the house clean, spacious and very well equipped, with almost all that we needed for a comfortable stay. The week was a very hot one, with temperatures reaching 39C (and 25C at night!) The children slept very well in their air-conditioned rooms, but the adults overheated! We made very good use of the fabulous swimming pool, interspersed with trips to the lake and the ocean. The proximity of the So-bio shop and the SuperU made food shopping very easy and we enjoyed cooking on the barbecue. The younger adults had a lovely, relaxed evening at the Sunset Cafe and we all had an excellent family lunch at Cafe Pinasse in Cap Ferret. All in all, a superb family week. Thank you, Jerome, for the use of your beautiful house. James, Fiona and family.
