About this villa rental

A short distance from sailing, scuba diving, and more, this beach villa lets you experience it all. There's convenient onsite parking, so you can leave your vehicle behind and let your feet make short work of the 3-minute walk to Brittany Beaches or the 7-minute walk to Plage de Sainte-Anne-la-Palud.

After you return, unwind in the garden or sip a drink on the deck or patio, and don't forget about the outdoor furniture. As for the great indoors, you can come inside and enjoy the WiFi and TV.

A living room, a dining area, a BBQ grill, and a fireplace are featured at this 3-bedroom, 1-bathroom rental. Bathroom amenities include a hair dryer, towels, and toilet paper. The kitchen is equipped with an oven, a stovetop, and a refrigerator, as well as a coffee maker, an electric kettle, and a microwave. And you can even pack a bit lighter because there's a washer and dryer.

We absolutely loved our stay in this house, it's wonderfully located at the extreme end of a huge, tidal and very quiet beach, within easy reach of good swimming and beautiful coastal walks. The local village of Plonevey-Porzay, just 10 minutes away has a Sunday market, a butcher, 2 boulangeries, banks and a small supermarket. The house has everything you may need for self catering, good outdoor spaces with tables and chairs and a good barbecue. What you are not told in the description of the house is that it is totally unsuitable for anyone with any kind of mobility issue. There are steep stone staircases with no hand rails from the car parking area down to the house and then several more down to the beach. The house itself is arranged over 3 levels - 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom (no loo) at the top; kitchen, loo and dining/living area down a steepish open wooden staircase and the 3rd bedroom with shower and loo is situated on the lower level and totally cut off from the rest of the house. It worked for us as we were mostly just 3 adults using the two main bedrooms; our son who was with us for a couple of nights found the bottom bedroom rather damp and smelly, with the loo separated only by a curtain from the living space. Unfortunately our friends who were going to join us when our son left couldn't, as the wife was on crutches. It would have been helpful to have been warned in advance that both loos are 'dry'. For the uninitiated, a dry loo consists of a bucket inside a wooden frame covered with a toilet seat. Each time a person visits the loo they cover their business with sawdust and when it is full someone has the unenviable task of carrying it to an outside pit and emptying it, before washing it out with a hose and replacing the bag. Our verdict - a 5* house in a 5* location, but not for those with mobility issues or faint hearts!
