Matumi Self Catering

Really good location plenty of animals / wildlife. Sufficiently kitted out property for an easy stay. The social area is really great by the Bbq and the pizza oven is really nice!

The driveway was a bit uneven getting to the property. Could be filled up a little to make it easier for regular cars to traverse. But wasn't a problem for our SUV, but I can imagine it would be a little challenging for lower cars to get to the property. The filters on the air con needs to be cleaned or replaced. Has a odour when used.

Beautiful, quaint place. Being in the "bush" is always relaxing! Almost home away from home. Wildlife at your doorstep!

The location is fantastic. Our first time in Marloth Park. The fact that the animals come so close is a bonus. The accommodation was OK, not great, but not bad. We are campers, we normally go away with our Jurgens Penta, so we are used to camping. When you book a self catering unit and you get Matumi, mixed feelings. One expect a bit more. I almost asked the questions:"Did I get value for my money?"

The dishcloths were really dirty. Might be because there is not a oven mitt/glove. We were surprised to find out that there are only three very old towels in the unit. Luckily we had our pools towels with us to shower. There is no cupboard to store groceries. Also the unit has a lot of kitchen utensils etc, but it is very old, some glasses had cracks in. The unit has good location, for our two night stay it was OK, but everything is old. Maybe some some new mattresses and linen. We were not able to switch on the aircon, the remote might need some new batteries.
