Lobster Cove, Excellent location, Close to beach & coastal walks, Family run

This little home from home cottage is the perfect way to get a taste for everything Port Isaac. It has everything you need! It’s a fisherman’s cottage so expect small and lots of low beams. It was absolutely spotless. The loan of the little Jelly cats on the children’s beds were super cute which has now started a new love for collecting them for my twin girlies. The little treats of a Cornish cream tea, shortbread biscuits and complimentary tea, coffee and milk were welcomed and lovely added touch. We loved walking up to Bert’s bench and listening to the RNLI crew singing sea shanties. The parking at the top car park wasn’t too bad, £27 for the week which wasn’t bank breaking. The views on the walk down were amazing. We unloaded and loaded no bother by the house but it is a tight squeeze! Even for a driving examiner like my hubby who said you need to hold your breath on the corners! We have made fantastic memories that will last a lifetime time here so Thankyou Hayley, Keith and girls for letting us stay in your gorgeous little cottage. We will be back!

The only thing I would have liked is a cutlery tray in the drawer instead of the glass in the cupboard with it all housed but that’s nothing major and me just being picky. Also, be aware that if you want to eat in Port Isaac, it needs to be before 8.30 as everywhere stops serving food past that time. That’s no reflection on the hosts, it’s a Port Isaac thing. Everything else was great.

I’m tallish and found I hit my head constantly on the forward and roof beams. Not really a big issue.

Lobster Cove liegt mitten in Port Isaac, wenn man zur Tür raus läuft und rechts geht, steht man direkt am Hafen. Am Abend haben wir immer am Hafen gesessen und uns an der Bar einen Feierabend Trink gegönnt, oder Fish&Chips gegessen. Die Unterkunft war sehr ordentlich und sauber. Wir wurden mit leckeren Scones und Shortbread begrüßt. Am letzten Abend hatten wir das Glück, dass die Fisherman's Friends ein kleines Konzert gegeben haben am Hafen. Port Isaac ist wunderschön zum Wandern und die Seele baumeln lassen. Ich komme bestimmt irgendwann wieder! Vielen lieben Dank für ihre schöne Ferienwohnung.

We visited recently and were genuinely impressed. The property was modern, cosy, and an absolute steal. It’s perfectly located in the beautiful village, and the standard of cleanliness was easily 5*. We’ll definitely be returning.
