Villa Barbarella

We had a great stay at Villa Barbarella that exceeded our expectations in many ways. The villa itself is very spacious. There's three bedrooms upstairs that each come with their own bathroom (plus there's an extra bathroom downstairs). Each room has a double bed and a single bed so there was plenty of room for everybody. The house itself is very cozy and the kitchen was stacked with everything we needed (so stuff like paper towels, salt/pepper, dishwashing tabs, vacuum, washing machine, coal and starters for the grill, mosquito defense and so forth). I don't think I've ever stayed in a place that was this well equipped, as a matter of fact. The place is also very dog friendly - the garden is fenced in on all sides which was a deciding factor for us. There's also not a lot of traffic in the neighborhood so it's definitely one of the quieter areas of Istria. You'll need a car to get to places but it's only about 20mins to Porec, 40mins to Pula and about an hour to Rijeka. If you value peace and quiet and personal space more than the accessibility that a city offers - you'll enjoy it here and you'll feel right at home. The owner was also great and sent us some tips for local cuisine. She was always quick to respond and helped us whenever we needed something. It was a 10/10 experience for everyone in our party!
