Everything! Location and views were perfect. The kitchen is extremely equipped! A really lovely place to stay

This was our 4th year of staying at Cloud End. Great location, easy access to all amenities in and around Keswick. As we are going to return next year it must say an awful lot about the property.

When we arrived on 010826 we soon discovered an active wasps nest behind the wall in the Livingroom/kitchen, scratching and chewing sounds could be heard. Wasps could be seen flying around outside in large numbers, entering and leaving via a hole in the gable end wall. Following numerous contacts with Sykes Cottages, including 2 visits to the local office reporting the issue, pictures and videos were shared with Sykes showing the serious nature of the problem, there was a distinct lack of urgency. The situation was not dealt with until late on 050826, even then numerous wasps were entering the Livingroom/kitchen area up until we left on 080826. A formal complaint has been raised with Sykes, requesting a appropriate and substantial refund of the accommodation cost. Photos and videos can be provided in required together with a call/contact/incident record of every interaction with Sykes.
