TheCalming Cactus Cascais

Size, luxury feel

Only 4 people allowed around the pool at one time and only 3 sunbeds

We stayed in this apartment for four nights with our family (two parents and two children aged 14 and 16) and had a wonderful time. It's the perfect place if you prefer staying somewhere quiet instead of in busy Lisbon, while still being close to both the beach and the city. Lisbon city centre is easy to reach, with Cais do Sodré station only a 30-minute train ride away. Compared to many 4- or 5-star hotels in Lisbon, this apartment offers great value for money. You get the luxury of a spacious apartment with three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, and a private garden where you can enjoy both the sun and some shade. Our children especially loved the clean saltwater pool in the shared garden. The building has three other apartments, mostly used by local families. The apartment itself is beautifully furnished, featuring iconic designer pieces by Mies van der Rohe, Eames and Breuer. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend this apartment to anyone who wants to combine the vibrant city of Lisbon with the peace and charm of the Portuguese coast.
