Loved the location and how quirky it was, room on arrival was lovely and warm. Was also a lot bigger than i expected. Having no wifi was not an issue as we both got 5g signal.
As someone who is petrified of pigeons this place scared the life out of me unfortunately, Theres pigeons in yard that are living under the bedroom floor and thats all i could hear throughout our stay. And the bed is so uncomfortable too im so sorry. We left at 7am as i needed sleep and could no longer cope with the flapping noise of the pigeons. Obviously the owners cant tell pigeons to stay away but i think maybe blocking off their entrance hole might help.

Excellent cosy quirky outhouse that was everything it said on the tin. Perfect location in the centre of town close to all amenities and the excellent brewery where we spent time and chatted to folk. Was abit worried we might be cold but we certainly weren’t. Had everything we needed.
Dear god please listen to folk and replace the bed and mattress………..!

Quirky retreat as described.

Excellent placed little holiday let! We couldn’t believe our luck. Just perfect for what we needed. Nice little touches like tea and coffee, as well as lager from the local brewery.
Working great distance of the car park which had a long stay option for three days and was a very short walk away from the outhouse.
Heating was on when we arrived. Very cosy.
We will be returning if this becomes available!

Central location. Nice and clean. Quirky. A small, interesting set of books upstairs. Nice touches with free coffee for the morning and a couple of cans of lager.
Difficult to find the relevant "2nd Black door" into the property after dark (I arrived at 5pm in mid December) as Chapel Lane doesn't appear to have a road name marker at its top end and I spent some time looking on what I now know to be Tram Lane. Some further directions and a house name on the door into the Lane would have helped. The property was cool/cold and it wasn't clear whether I should turn on the wall mounted upstairs heaters (which had no instructions and I couldn't work out how to operate them anyway) or use the floor mounted, mobile units (which were available, but needed to be moved out of their storage space and plugged in). The shower head fell forward when in use. Space in the kitchen/diner is very, very limited and that too was cool/cold. The smoke alarm went off as soon as I turned on the toaster in the morning as it started to smoke, presumably as it hadn't been cleaned out recently. I needed to open the front door to clear the kitchen/diner (more cold air !). So not really very good value for money at £99. I would only recommend booking it in warmer, summer months if you like quirky places (which I do). I was there on my own. If my wife and I had visited together we'd have struggled for space. Its really a "sleep and snack space" or a solo traveller choice.

Great quirky place, 2nd visit to the Bothy. Great for a night or two. Lovely touches with the beer and coffee and perfect location
The bed was squeaky, every time you turn over it creaked and woke me as I’m a light sleeper.

Location was perfect. Bed comfy and the added bonus of 2 bottles of beer and lovely coffee was appreciated.
The Bothy was fine for a nights stay but given its size and the limited cooking facilities it wouldn't really be practical for any longer. Toilet brush was also a bit icky!

Super cute little hideaway, very conveniently located for all that Kirkby Lonsdale has to offer. Even after breaking his leg, my husband was able to get up to the bedroom on the amazing ancient stone staircase. He was ready for the local beer that was on the side by the time he got down again though, haha.
Probably not for those with mobility issues. It took me a while to find the picture of the steps when I was wondering if we would have to cancel. Perhaps I just missed the warning!

Really nice space, comfortable and cosy
It didn’t bother me for a weekend trip, but for longer stays WiFi would be good

The only thing I can say is the stairs but not an issue if you are fit and able

Outstandingly clean and well presented. Perfect for my travels with my Labradoodle! Everything I needed in the kitchen area and great shower. Comfortable bed and great decor throughout.
Nothing; it served my needs excellently. Parking can be tricky on arrival but that’s outside of the host’s control.

Quirky & lovely place to stay in Kirkby Lonsdale that we will remember. Everything you need in a thoughtfully designed set up. Also a terrace that gets the afternoon/ evening sun.
With all the facilities available, couldn’t understand why there wasn’t a hair dryer.

Fabulous quirky property right in the centre of Kirkby Lonsdale. Very quiet whilst sitting on the balcony and a real sun trap.
The alleyway to the property needs a little bit of thought as the bins were stored down there and home to a few pigeons.
Veranda although fabulous, I think a screen to block out the view of the rubble in next doors property which is under renovation at the moment would be beneficial.

Good location.
Bed uncomfortable.
Stairs dangerous especially if you took as small dog. It could easily fall through the large space in-between the spindles. Not sure they would comply with building regs.
No tv. Extremely small kitchen.

Very quickly as advertised
Street parking is free as advertised but only for an hour which isn’t mentioned and very misleading.
Balcony could do with a little TLC.
My biggest concern, which I found a little unnerving, was the fact that someone had been in to the property, while I was out, on more than one occasion.

The location is amazing and the property itself is adorable. It’s such a unique spot. We loved the local coffee left for us and the terrace is a gorgeous place to enjoy it in the morning.
The only thing that let us down was the bed. The mattress was really uncomfortable 😥

Not that i didn’t like - but something that may improve the stays - an addition of a fan 😊

Stylish, cosy, well appointed. Everything had been thought of. Felt like a little retreat all of my own. Toiletries and towels provided, cutlery, crockery, washing up liquid all there to make life easy for the visitor but lovely touches such as beer on arrival also thought of. Great carpet upstairs, comfy bed. I loved it!

Cottage great for a night or two
Quirky little place with a fab balcony view looking over the rooftops. Kitchen had what was needed but we ate out. Love the coffee grinder and the coffee made welcomed cuppa .absolutely fabulous for what it's meant for. Clean and well maintained. Would definitely use again
It was exactly as described.

Quirky, bijou and rustic would probably best describe the apartment. Great for an overnight stop and well positioned to access village facilities.
Had a terrible night's sleep and would say a new bed and mattress definitely required. Stone spiral staircase could be an issue for some people.

Beautiful quirky little cottage, with a lovely little balcony. Everything you needed for an overnight stay.
Fantastic location , right in the centre of town.
Would highly recommend

Convenient location. Unusual & quirky just what we were after. Perfect for a short stay. Balcony was a great bonus. Cozy. Great stay. Loved the whole ambience of the place. Clean, tidy and everything you need for a short stay.
Unfortunately the mattress on the double bed was quite uncomfortable and our sleep was not good. Although the bed was very clean it’s metal frame made a lot of noise when you moved or even turned over. The toilet door squeaked badly when opening & closing making discreet over night visits impossible. If these had been addressed then the stay would have been perfect.
