Maris and Otter

The decor was really nicely done, it was spacious and cosy. The bed was comfy and the bathroom was huge! The location is ideal for town centres and the beach as well as buses and lots of takeaways and pubs.

We visited in a heatwave and needed the windows open, which meant the road noise was quite full on until about midnight and starting again around 6 -7am. When the windows closed this wasn't much of an issue. Some of the appliances needed attention, the wee fan had seen better days ( hence windows open). A few minor things were broken, the bin lid in the bathroom and the shelf in the fridge. The kitchenette would be improved with a few bowls and a teatowl, and the pillow cases kept sliding off the waterproof pillows and the duvet was on inside out. What I would most like to see improved is the housekeeping and cleanliness, the apartments are really beautifully decorated and thought out but some of the furnishings are looking a little tired. There was a thick layer of dust on all the light fittings and behind the toilet and bath, the shower also needed a good scrub, not the mention the toilet brush which was pretty gross! The devil really is in the detail, improve that and you've got 9 /10, improve the documents explaining the ethos, WiFi, opening times including food service and local recommendations, and you get 10. We look forward to seeing those improvements and staying again in the future.

The room was huge, with a luxury bathroom and well thought out space. The seating area and kitchenette were perfect for getting ready. The location of the property was also fantastic, right in the heart of great restaurants and very close to the sea.

No air con really crap fan

Location was great in town, the bed and pillows were very comfortable, we slept well. The tea and coffee set was a really nice touch. The facilities were fantastic, large bathroom, open plan living area and bathroom. Great separate entrance so you dont have to go through thr bar. Plenty of towels. Many great things to say.

Parking was a 5 min walk, with bags going up hill it wasn't the easiest but was also not that far. The bathroom tiles didnt look that clean. The room was on the street side so was noisy all night and the floor shakes when trucks go past. Lots of people shouting in the road. The sunlight came through the gaps in the curtains very early, needs back out curtains that close fully. Staircase looked tired and is a bit higgeldy piggeldy.
