Lovely house on a beautiful Danish island

We stayed on the second floor of a charming summer house, which has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a small kitchen, and a spacious living room. Since it was just the two of us, there was plenty of space, but it would also be very comfortable for two couples. The bedrooms are identical, both with comfortable beds. The bathrooms are spacious—especially compared to our previous experiences in Danish hotels. The kitchen is very well equipped: we were able to cook and eat every day. It includes a stove, microwave, enough plates and utensils, and even a dishwasher! However, we weren’t able to get the oven working, and we couldn’t find a washing machine. We especially loved the living room—it has a large table, perfect for eating or working, and a comfy couch for relaxing. The house is located on an amazing Danish island, and we enjoyed unbelievable sunsets over the sea right from our window and balcony. There is a bus to Rudkøbing, but having a car makes things much easier (there’s dedicated parking). The town is small but has several supermarkets and restaurants. We highly recommend Rudkøbing Fisk & Røgeri—just five minutes from the house. The menu is simple but delicious, and the prices are reasonable! The house was spotlessly clean when we arrived, which we really appreciated. Overall, we were super happy with our stay in this lovely house on a beautiful Danish island.

A few things to keep in mind: Check-in/out is done via a key box with a passcode. Unfortunately, we had trouble opening it both at check-in and check-out. Phone support was helpful and gave us a new code, but it was a stressful experience. These are mentioned extra cost in the “important notes” (did you read them? 😄), but it’s worth highlighting here: - Electricity: This is charged separately. We paid €21 for 5 days (two people). We weren’t especially careful, but we are from Germany and have energy-saving habits. - Linen & Towels: These are not included (surprising, right?). You must pre-order them. We ordered two “Wäschepaket” (bed linen, one small and one large towel, dish towel, cloth), which cost €41.67. If you’re staying longer, consider ordering a backup set in advance—they didn’t respond to our request during the stay. - Cleaning: This was a bit confusing. You’re expected to clean the house yourself before departure, and then you pay for a cleaning inspection. We weren’t sure what would happen if they decided our cleaning wasn’t good enough... To be safe, we chose to pay €137 for final cleaning. These extra costs are clearly mentioned in the booking details, but many people might not realize that you could easily pay an additional €200 on top of the booking price. They have a okaish website where you can order and pay for all extras, but be cautious. I was accidentally charged twice and am now trying to get a refund.

Rigtig god beliggenhed med udsigt til lystbådehavn og bro og med kort gåafstand til centrum af byen. Fin og hyggelig lejlighed med alt, hvad man behøver.

Ingen bemærkninger - dog var lukketøj i dør/vindue i soveværelse ved køkken defekt. Døren kunne både åbne og lukke, men kunne ikke stå i vippeposition.
