Salou Apartamento Playa Capellans

Juan, the (perfect) host, was personally present at check-in, he is friendly, easygoing and very quick to react and solving any questions. Also Elena (caretaker of the building) was great to deal with at the check-out. The place is very clean, and has everything you need, incl. heating (airco) (which is welcome in November) and a very good washing machine + also incl. new frying pans and new vacuum cleaner. Juan even bought a blender when I asked him in advance if he happened to have one that I could use. Important to note: to reach the nearby beaches (or Cami Ronda) you'll need to either navigate some fairly steep streets, or some 125 stone staircase steps. (I saw this as a plus: good cardio training each day). So, for me the host and the appartment are just great.

What i did not like (and this is basically beyond the control of Juan the host): was the upstairs neighbour who did not seem to sleep at night (or maybe he was sleepwalking). He was not making any real noise (as in loud music, tv, talking etc) but just walking around a lot, at night, without shoes, producing a soft low frequent "thumping" sound... not loud, but in the otherwise quiet night: hearable. I'm a light sleeper and often needed earplugs to be able to sleep, but your mileage may vary. Also sometimes hearable at various times, incl. sometimes at night: a deep, electric buzzing sound, possible from some kind of electrical heating device from one of the neighbours? (it was getting cold in the 2nd week of november), but this was luckily much less hearable in the bedroom itself.

No breakfast

The only problem we had was nothing to do with the property. It was because my wife and I have serious back injuries and this caused our ability to walk up the hill to the property to lessen to such an extent that we had to seek alternative place.

the apartment has everything you need and having the balcony was really nice as well. Juan, the host, was great and super accommodating! He was very helpful whenever I had any questions or needed something! the apartment is right next to the beach and can walk to several other beaches from there as well!
