Gîte tout confort - jardin et piscine

A delightful, good-sized property for 2 in a beautiful, peaceful setting. Very well appointed with almost all the amenities you could ask for. Comfortable bed in a bedroom with plenty of storage, good shower room with lots of hot water, very good kitchen with decent sized fridge/freezer and a comfy lounge. Lovely outdoor space and pool (NB more a plunge pool that a swimming pool but very welcome in the hot weather). Parking is easy (car is essential) and the Gite is set about 2 Kms from Lagnes (boulangerie, pharmacy/medical centre, boucherie, bar, auberge and a convenience store) and about 15 mins from L'Isle sur la Sorge where there's Intermarche and Super U. Great location to explore Avignon, Arles, Pont du Gard, the Luberon and as far as the Camargue and Aix whilst only about 90 mins from Marseille airport. And excellent support throughout our stay from Belinda (who works for the estate agency acting on behalf of the owner). Highly recommended.

As mentioned, the pool is not really more than a plunge pool and is a bit on the cold side (although a quick call to Belinda led to the water temperature being notched up a degree or two)! A couple of lacking utensils in the kitchen - a crown cork/beer bottle opener and a kettle being the most notable. A BBQ would be a nice addition but the only real downside is the almost complete lack of any mobile phone signal and internet access. Installing wifi would be enough to life this review from a 9 to a 10.
