San Sebastian Apartment by Hello Homes Sitges

Location was fantastic, close to Balmins beach, right by San Sebastián beach and a short walk into town. The aircon was centralised and excellent, and really needed on hot and humid days.

It wasn't really like the photos. The soft furnishings had largely been removed, some items of furniture had been removed and overall the place had quite a spartan feel, compared to the comfort portrayed in the photos. Noise was also a nuisance at times, the apartment is very close to the railway line, there was building work taking place in one of the other apartments in the block, as well as a dog that barked for long periods of time. However, our main frustration was with the bathroom, we reported a problem with the drain in the shower tray the day we arrived. We were assured that a handyman had been sent, however the next time we used the shower it still wasn't draining. Despite two further contacts and promises to send someone, nobody ever came back. We ended up pouring liquid drain unblocker down the drain ourselves, just to be able to shower. The shower would also benefit from a curtain, to prevent water from going all over the bathroom floor. Overall: disappointing. Would we return? No.
