An excellent stay in a modest family house, an authentic homestay. Mama plucked fresh vegetables from her garden and her children helped prepare noodles for a tasty Skyu- like Ladakhi dish for dinner, as I chatted to the sweet 20ish yr old siblings. A wonderful experience and a cozy bed to prepare me for the Sham Valley trek. Oh, and the 17th century Basco Palace and Gompa complex are truly impressive in the evening, worth seeing before going on to Likir.
