Hotel Alta Montaña

Good location for hikers, for high altitude walks in the region of El Teide.

We had a great stay. The staff were exceptional - friendly, attentive, and always ready to help, which made the whole experience feel like a 5-star hotel. The views were beautiful, the location is very close to the national park, and the food was delicious, both from the regular menu and at breakfast. The room was clean and comfortable, and we also really enjoyed the hot tub and chill-out zone.

Friendly staff (nearly all fluent in English), good breakfast, excellent room with a patio, great bed, great parking, great location at Vilaflor near the Teide serpentine mountain road. A bit pricy over easter, but duly recommended!

Breakfast was a bit plain for a buffet and with no daily variety, but still good. One staff member didn't know English. Extremely minor points!

The hot tubs and sauna are a great addition.

We have stayed here previously and the maintenance has just not been kept up to standard. The first room we were put in was dark and the door to the room was damaged. A lot of tlc was required. On the second night they moved us to another room however the bathroom stank of drains. The other disappointment was dinner. The restaurant was closed while we were staying, it would have been nice to have been notified of this prior to our stay. On the first night we were told only one restaurant in the village was open, the restaurant if you can call it that was horrendous. It was a very dingy, old, dirty and smelly pub. The food was just as bad.
