Agafay Pearl Camp Marrakech

We really loved the facility - so spacious, clean and for the space we had - really good value for money. Abdulaziz was such an amazing host and guide - so gracious and always smiling and fun to be around. He arranged everything for us even at short notice. We had Quad bike rides and Camel rides (at sunset - outstanding!), entertainment at dinner. The beds were very comfortable and the pool was amazing (especially in the heat). It is such a beautiful facility, the view is amazing and just the feeling of sleeping under the stars but in a comfortable tent was exceptional.

They seem to be limited in terms of manpower so Abdulaziz was literally everywhere - welcoming, cooking, serving, concierge etc ... with just one other person to help. He is so energetic and does not project any sense of being overwhelmed. But for a facility of the size it would be good to have extra help. Also, the AC is only turned on at specific hours. It was quite hot during the day and it was not possible to get any relief until evening.

The tents were super comfy and the environment is so quiet - I slept better than I ever do at home. All you can hear is the far off generator humming and birdsong. Extremely peaceful.

I was very surprised that they did not serve drinks and I don’t mean alcohol - all that was available was water and mint tea. Not even a coke for by the pool or juice with breakfast. Quite odd but I don’t know if it was perhaps a supply issue - you are in the desert after all. Abdul was very good in providing bottles of frozen water so that was plentiful and provided free of charge. Ultimately it was not a problem but based on this I would not return so be sure to check. The dinner we had was very good and plentiful but the show was not a show - it was a fella on an instrument plus a girl playing cymbals for about 10 minutes. I would think this is because there were only my family and 1 other on site so they kept it simple. But it really was not a show. The pool is fantastic - the saving grace in such extreme temperatures.

Lovely accommodation with a great swimming pool with plenty to lounges. Fridge/freezer available to use by the pool. Excellent breakfast and dinner. Good distance between tents. Staff really friendly.

Tent’s bathroom had some issues on the door and toilet. Air conditioning did not work nor tv.
