The hotel just has been renovated and it is beautiful. The staff is doing absolutely everything they can to make sure that your stay is exceptional. The breakfast was huge and delicious. Honestly it was the best hotel we had in Africa and I highly recommend it!

Great place worth the money.. The staff were great.. Karim, Abdul and all the ladies - friendly and so helpful.. Will definitely visit again and again..

There is a power cut every other day - we were not giving any warning of this until we arrived, even then he only told us about 1 day and never mentioned it would keep happening. There was no compensation for the electricity going out, we understand that it is out of the owners control, however, we have stayed in places with electricity power cuts before and always felt looked after. This was a very simple ‘sorry for the inconvenience’ and we were left for more than 6 hours without electricity on 2 occasions, then our last morning, also no electricity or heads up, which was very annoying as we had a long trip back to our hometown and couldn’t shower or charge our stuff before flying. We stayed 4 nights, 3 power cuts during that time. There wasn’t even a drink offered or candle lights; a simple free tuk tuk trip into town would have been nice. It felt like we just had to ‘deal with it’. We realised that many places nearby had generators, so there’s no excuse for having a hotel and not having a generator for the guests especially when power cuts are this frequent. I would not recommend staying here and would recommend looking for somewhere that does have a generator, otherwise you will have no aircon, showers, wifi etc for most of your stay, so what are you really paying for. On top of that, the room is very basic. No hairdryer, kettle, fridge etc. There is a lot of room for this, but it feels like the owner doesn’t really care. Also if you want room cleaning you had to ask everyday, felt like I was annoying the staff but what should be standard. It’s also an upfront payment before arrival; we soon realised why.
