Uptown Gem The Castaway Cottage, Dog Friendly!

The place was very comfortable, fully equipped with all necessities, king size beds were a nice feature and very comfortable. Closets had plenty of hangers which was a plus. The location was central to all that we wanted to see and do, easy to navigate the area. It was a nice quiet neighborhood, felt very safe. Staff was very responsive to our needs.

The outdoor seating area was not very inviting and while listed as a two bathroom, it was a bath and a half, but still nice to each have their own vanity. There were issues with the remotes to operate the (very nice) ceiling fans. The staff replaced the batteries, but using any of the remotes, although designated to each room, affected all the fans. When I used the remote for my room, the other two ceiling fans also came on. This should be corrected so turning on the fan/light on in one bedroom, doesn’t happen to the other guest in the other bedroom, or living room.

The location of the property was great! Only a short drive to everything. The property was VERY clean. The neighbors were very nice and neighborhood was safe. We brought our 2 dogs, and the yard was entirely fenced in which is always nice while you are traveling!!! The host was quick to respond with an issue or questions we had. We will definitely get this place again when we visit.

Nothing about the house. Very disappointed at the $200 cleaning fee that was charged by Booking.com. I guess it's more of a convivence fee for me to pay for using Booking.com. Still, that is a pretty large 'cleaning' fee. And it was not charged by the Owners of the property.

Super safe neighborhood with polite neighbors. Nice outdoor seating area, super comfortable pillows, and very close to just about everything.
