Villa do Monte

The villa is set in an extremely quiet location just at the outskirts of the small town, which itself seemed quiet. At nights, you can hear the crickets making their noises, which I haven't heard since i was a child. If you have a car, Porto Moniz is only about 15 minutes away at the bottom of the mountain. The roads leading up the mountain are quite steep and windy, but in good condition so be aware. Nearby, there is a really good restaurant serving brilliant Espetada, and a couple of shops. The hosts were very responsive and helpful via messaging. The villa itself was very clean. The towels and sheets had that nicely laundered smell (a big thing for me). People mention the lack of air conditioning, but it isn't required as the ambient climate is quite cool (we visited in August), being at a higher altitude. It has full kitchen and laundry facilities which is great if you have young ones.

Très grande maison, beaucoup de places er de rangements. Maison très bien équipée, il ne manque rien, propre, accueil attentionné. Place de parking facile. Maison facile à trouver avec boîte à clé parfait.

Je n’ai certainement pas tout compris je croyais avoir loué une maison indépendante ça n’a pas été le cas, le jardin est partagé et la maison par une autre entrée aussi. Nous n’avons pas pu profiter du jardin comme je l’imaginais il y avait déjà du monde. Quel dommage nous !! Nous n’avions vraiment pas envie de manger à l’intérieur vu le beau temps nous sommes donc redescendu à Porto Moniz idem le lendemain où nous avons pique niqué. L’odeur d’humidité dans la maison. La casa è veramente spaziosa e accogliente. La posizione è strategica e si percepisce una pace difficile da trovare sull’isola in questo periodo estivo. L’host è stato molto gentile e disponibile fin da subito.
