Solo haven in Fi: cozy retreat for one traveler

60 km west of Kajaani, Lake Oulujärvi 30 m (lake length of 68 km, width 25 km), shallow water, sandy bottom, own boat. Log villa, built in 2015, kitchen-living room, bedroom with 2 single beds, bedroom with bunk bed, loft with two single beds (loft floor area 25 m², maximum height of 2.5 m and minimum height of 0.9 m), partially covered large porch (58 m²). Sauna (wood-burning stove), washroom. Sauna and washing room with underfloor heating. Access to sauna, washing room through covered porch. Vacuum WC in to the cottage. In addition, there is a separate compost toilet in the yard. An air heat pump that also enables cooling. The cottage’s tap water comes from a drilled well. The cottage has a water filtration system that was upgraded in the summer of 2026; it filters iron and manganese levels down to levels acceptable for domestic use. In addition, water treated by a reverse osmosis system is available from a faucet in the utility room, specifically for food preparation and drinking. The water was tested on July 23, 2026. Please note that the reservation cannot start on the same day as the previous reservation ends (in that case, please choose a start date one day later from the calendar, if that would be suitable for you).
