PALAZZO FIACCADORI - Historical Palace

Great location.

Unfortunately there was a huge part in the street at night, very loud, couldn’t sleep.

Met by Esmerelda after arriving from Tropea by train , smooth easy check in with plenty of information . Location fantastic . Right around the corner from main seafront and next to some beautiful old buildings . Easy walk to restaurants and shops . Good access to railway station , buses for airport and ferry’s to Sicily . Big high ceilings , lots of character , roof terrace had great views . We had room Zeus which had a side balcony with sea view . Quiet, clean . Breakfast was at a choice of two bars locally you had vouchers towards coffee and pastries anytime, which suited us as we didn’t get up too early . Bathroom huge with great shower , air con fine for us as it was only 25 degrees . Reggio is not touristy but is authentic . We ate well both evenings . Seafront is really lovely with views to Sicily . Thank you Esmerelda for your kindness and for letting us leave our bags so we could enjoy our last few hours in Italy

Roof terrace was a little empty . Would be lovely to have plants up there. We had a coffee machine but no pods or milk . We found a supermarket so it wasnt an issue . I’m sure if we had texted Esmerelda she would have got us some . Just something to think about for future guests . Bottled water in fridge was appreciated .

The location is absolutely fantastic. Ocean on one side, shopping on the other. Beautiful clean room.

Being in a historic building was cool. The room itself was appointed very nicely.

Since there is no parking at the accommodation, it is either street parking that you have to navigate if it is an okay spot and then pay for that parking. Or if you're lucky to find a parking garage that is open. It took us well over an hour to try to find parking. There was some festival that was going to be happening, so there were hundreds of more cars on the streets. Traffic was mostly stopped. We tried to find alternative routes to get closer. And our host never met us. We had to send pictures of our passports through WhatsApp, which I understand is not supposed to happen. That hosts are to meet guests face-to-face. And we could not get the air conditioner to cool even though we set the remote to 19. A very uncomfortable, hot night.
