About this cottage rental

Experience - The Area.... Within a 10 minute drive of the glorious sandy beaches of Bude and Widemouth Bay, this light and spacious detached bungalow is set in a peaceful rural location just over a mile outside the attractive village of Marhamchurch. The resort of Bude, 4 miles, has once again been named as the Best UK Coastal Town with an abundance of activities to suit everyone including excellent golf links, sea and coarse fishing, swimming in the sea pool and a surf school. It is also possible to walk or cycle to Bude along the old canal towpath passing through farmland and a nature reserve; bike hire is available locally at Whalesborough or for a unique two-wheeled adventure, why not try Segway Bude.  Surrounded by unspoilt countryside yet there are four stunning beaches all within a five mile drive; Crackington Haven, Widemouth Bay, Crooklets and Summerleaze, not forgetting the hidden coves at Sandymouth and Northcott Mouth.  There is a traditional country inn at both Marhamchurch and Bridgerule just over a mile away respectively and a lakeside bistro with wildlife centre is approximately 2 miles.  Marhamchurch also has a community shop stocking local produce. The picturesque North Coast villages of Boscastle, Tintagel and Clovelly are all within half an hour's drive and this is also the perfect base for exploring the dramatic South West Coast Path only 3 miles away. Stay - The Accommodation... Recently renovated, Oakdene is approached by a quiet country lane and a tarmac drive leading up to the parking area with ample space for 2-3 cars.  A couple of steps lead up to sliding patio doors which open directly into a bright and spacious, split level living room.  Two leather sofas allow you to relax and appreciate the panoramic views and stunning sunsets and from here, one step leads up to the newly fitted, modern kitchen and breakfast bar.  Leading off to one side, an internal hallway gives access to a pleasant dining room with table and chairs, an electric log effect fire and countryside views, and a cosy, dual aspect sitting room with an ornamental fireplace, lounge seating and more rural views across the garden. There are three comfortably furnished, carpeted bedrooms; a light and airy double, a further double at the rear and a bunk room with 2ft 6in bunk beds, all bedrooms overlook the gardens and adjoining fields.  To complete the accommodation, there is a bathroom WC with wash basin, bath with hand shower attachment and heated towel rail and also a shower room WC with hand basin and heated towel rail.A door from the kitchen gives access to the integral garage where there are laundry facilities and secure storage for bicycles and beach gear and outside, the lawned garden extends around two sides of the property with a glimpse of the sea on the horizon and bordering farmland on one side and a country lane on the other.  There is plenty of space for children to run around but young children will need to be supervised. Don't Forget... - This property welcomes one dog of any size. - Young children will require supervision as the grounds are only partially enclosed
