Agriturismo IL Paradiso di Berignone

I loved the warm welcome and hospitality offered by Patrizia and Mario. They both went out of their way to make our stay so memorable. Amazing and authentic home cooking by Patrizia.

It was a little remote in Berignone National Park but that just added to its charm. So calm and peaceful.

A noi è piaciuto proprio tutto, la posizione all'interno di una riserva naturale, l'accoglienza e la disponibilità dei padroni di casa, la loro cucina super e l'alloggio curato nei minimi dettagli. Dobbiamo tornare ad assaggiare i pici e a fare qualche passeggiata che non abbiamo potuto fare dato il poco tempo a disposizione!

Pousada maravilhosa, limpa, silenciosa, com uma estrutura de cozinha completa (comunitaria, porem, completa), as pessoas que nos recebem são solicitas e bem educadas, parece até que você está se hospedando na casa de sua avó. O café da manhã é simples porem muito saboroso, um café feito na hora pela Patrizia e um pao maravilhoso. É um simples perfeito. Melhor de que muito Hotel 5 estrelas. Para quem vai ao Show do Andrea Botelli como foi meu caso, foi perfeito, chegamos no show em 35 minutos, o local é pertissimo de Volterra, San Gimigliano e outras cidades proximas. Para quem quer conhecer a Toscana é o lugar ideal pois fica centralizado. Adorei e vou voltar.

Friendly owners and quite place. There is a spacious very well equipped common kitchen if you want to cook your own food. (but they charge you an additional 10€ if you use it). The kitchen has a nice but small terras where you can eat and enjoy sunset. But there is only place for 2 people... Rooms or clean and spacious. Air conditioning.

The swimming pool is small and not at all as the pictures on the site suggest. Moreover, we could not use it when we were there. Water needed treatment... Around the pool there are no chairs, sun loungers or parasols. Actually, no loungers or parasols on the whole domain. Only some not so comfortable wooden banks. Also the place is very remote. The way to the main road is 5km, very steep and during 4km gravel. The location and view is nice, but you are at one of the lowest points in the valley, so it is not as breath-taking as it is on the heights around Volterra...
