Nestled in the heart of Georgia's Blue Ridge Mountains and wine country rests this modern log cabin. Boasting four bedrooms with easy access to area attractions and outdoor recreation, this rural retreat is packed with features and amenities designed for group and family gathering. Enjoy clean, country air and sweeping mountain views from the open-air deck and furnished sunroom. Fire up the gas grill for a rustic barbecue. For some friendly competition, head down to the lower level and duke it out over a few rounds on the classic, Pac-Man arcade table. For some more even more old-school and family-friendly fun, this home offers a selection of board games and children's games.
Comprised of two levels, the interior features a full kitchen and two living rooms (each equipped with flatscreen TVs), with modern essentials including free WiFi and a private washer/dryer. Sporting an open-concept layout, the main level includes the primary bedroom and en suite bathroom. An additional, full bathroom is located outside the bedroom for household convenience. The island kitchen is well-equipped with updated, stainless steel appliances, including a dishwasher and oven with five-burner gas range and warming drawer. The island doubles as a breakfast bar with seating for two while the formal dining area is equipped with seating for six. Everyone can lounge in fireside comfort in the main floor living room or let the kids have the run of the downstairs while the adults catch a movie or show upstairs. Three guest bedrooms share access to a full bathroom on the lower level.
When you want to stretch your legs and explore the area, you'll find a variety of outdoor activities and entertainment with great hiking trails, horseback riding, and vineyard tours. Downtown Clayton and Dillard are just a short drive away. Safety hazard :The cabinet on the back porch is not secured at all to the back wall. Since this cabinet is not heavy, a light pull on the doors when opening could cause it to fall.Safety hazard: The door to the utility closet downstairs is not secured and did fall on my sister when she mistakenly thought it was a guest closet and opened it.Safety hazard: The light fixture on the front porch hangs low, easily striking a 6' tall person in the head.The outdoor grill rack is very rusted, not suitable to put food on.A minor issue: there were not enough blankets for the downstairs bedrooms. We did get them after 2 calls to the local VRBO rep.Otherwise the house was clean, furniture comfortable, and the kitchen was pretty well stocked with necessary utensils, though a couple extra kitchen chairs would have been helpful.
