About this cottage rental

Situated in a quiet residential area of Sheringham but within easy walking distance of both beach and town centre, this bright, spacious and welcoming annexe is well equipped, with parking – perfect for a break exploring the Norfolk coast.Enter via the private front door. Opening into a hallway with door opening to: Dining room/kitchen: open plan with dishwasher, washing machine, gas hob, electric oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, dining table and four chairs. Two steps down to Living Room: with comfortable sofas, smart TV and feature gas fire with double doors, with two steps, leading out to the garden with patio furniture. Door to Double Bedroom: with kings size bed and built-in wardrobe, TV and bay window (space for travel cot - not provided). Family Bathroom: with shower cubicle with seat, WC (saniflo) and wash basin.
Outside: Lawned garden with patio furniture (exclusive to The Den). Parking for 1 car.
Please note: Gas central heating. Bed linen and towels included. Wifi available. Location: beach 0.7 miles. Sheringham Golf course 0.4 miles, 8-minute walk. Please bring own travel cot if required. The Den is in an ideal location. Its situated in a quiet and peaceful area of Sheringham. It is exceptionally well equipped and although we ate out I would have been able to cook and serve meals with no problems. It is spotlessly clean and its the only self catering place I don't have to wash crockery just to be careful! This must be our 4th stay at the Den and it never disappoints. Sandra and Trevor are lovely folk and welcoming hosts. We will be returning!

This was our second stay at The Den and it lived up to our expectations. It is in a quiet area yet still close to the station and other amenities. The Den itself is very specious and comfortable with everything you need and has a lovely seated patio area and gardens. We would definitely stay again when we come to the area if available.

This is our 4th visit to the Den. Starting with a warm welcome from Sandra and Trevor we enjoyed a delightful 2 weeks holiday. Yet again we were impressed with the quality of the accommodation and the wide range of top class equipment. On each of our stays we have been blessed by fantastic weather which proved to be the icing on the top of an excellent cake.

A very comfortable Lounge and bedroom, which helped us relax and sleep after a very tiring but delightful day at various attractions in the area. It is the only property we have returned to in recent years.. The only thing we would like improved is the bathroom shower. It is relatively weak, although settings can help, and it certainly works well enough to enable a thorough wash.

We stayed at The Den for 1 week in early May 2025 it is perfect for one to two people. Set within a lovely garden the accommodation is very comfortable and well equipped a private parking place is also provided. Situated In a quiet location convenient 5 minutes walking distance to the town, sea and transport.

We had a really enjoyable stay at The Den, made even better by being very lucky with the weather. Trevor and Sandra are lovely people and obviously great love and care has been put into making The Den very well-equipped and comfortable. Looking out on their beautiful garden is an added bonus. The property is in a very quiet area but also convenient for Sheringham and the North Norfolk coast which is a favourite of ours. We look forward to visiting The Den again.

Located at the back of the plot, in a side street, this is a superbly quiet location - but just five minutes walk to the railway station or 10-15 minutes to the beach. Comes with it's own generous parking space.

This is our second stay at The Den where we stayed for longer than last year as it so idyllic. The owners are very painstaking with the condition regarding cleanliness, overall comfort and an excellent kitchen. It is located only a few hundred metres from the town in a very quiet road. The owners are very friendly and caring. We look forward to next year. Many the thanks to Trevor and Sandra.

Following a warm welcome from Sandra and Trevor we were yet again blessed with 2 weeks of excellent weather to enjoy Sheringham and great coastal locations. As usual the Den was spotlessly clean and the high levels of equipment and comfort were maintained. We look forward to a return visit next year.

Lovely apartment in a quiet location but very close to shops, cafes etc. This is a very spacious apartment with its own entrance but joined to the owners property. The owners are very welcoming and are available if needed but let you get on with your holiday. Everything you need is provided along with lots of leaflets of where to go and places to see. The train station and bus stops are a short walk away. Collection of the key is easy and we had no problems throughout our holiday. Sheringham is very nice with some good pubs and cafes and the museum is very interesting. Overall a good holiday

Nice and relaxing and not far from centre for easy access to shops, beach, buses and steam train. Loved sitting outside in our own private area in the immaculate garden. Parking a bonus. A delightful place to stay in an ideal position just a 10 minute walk from the town. It has a parking space and your own private garden to relax in. The Den was spotless and was very well equipped, there was milk and biscuits to welcome us.

We didn't use any appliances other than the fridge freezer although it was well equipped. There are many eating places in Sheringham so we don't cook....we're on holiday!

A lovely property situated in Sherringham in a quiet location but central to all the amenities which are on offer in this lovely Norfolk town. The property itself was immaculate and offered all the facilities needed to make it a lovely comfortable stay. Nice little place

Nice little place

This is a very nice holiday property, very close to the town centre but more of a ground floor flat than a bungalow. Owners were very pleasant on arrival and showed us to our parking space, which was very large. This property is roomy and nice and clean, apart from the kitchen sink which my hubby cleaned. Cannot comment on the cooking appliances as we didn't use them, but they were very clean. Found the 2 steps down from the kitchen to the living room to be quite deep with nothing to hold onto, could use a grab handle for the elderly, like us!. Bathroom and the rest of the property was lovely and clean, the Saniflo toilet was rather noisy when flushed so did not flush during the night, wasn't sure if this could be heard by the owners who's property was adjacent and above us. Walk in shower has grab handles & a seat which was just what I wanted. The bedroom was spacious with lots of wardrobe space, hooks on the back of the door, a full length mirror and power sockets under the dressing table + usb port, a real bonus. The bed was huge but I found it really high, could have done with a foot stool!, hubby managed fine as he is taller than me. The duvet was really heavy we could hardly lift it. A lighter duvet would have been preferred. This would have been lovely and cosy during the winter but not needed as the weather was warm during our stay. Bedroom TV had plenty of channels for late night watching. Sitting room was very spacious, 2 large settees which were fairly comfy. Limited TV channels on the TV though, we did try to retune but it made no difference, preferred the bedroom one. Garden and furniture was lovely, very peaceful as the property is set back from the road. All the bedding, furniture etc was of a very high quality.

A lovely bungalow annex , which has been tastefully refurbished and fitted with high quality furniture and fittings. All the utensils were first class and it’s location close to shops and the coast could not be faulted. Being blessed with magnificent weather it all added to provide a memorable and enjoyable holiday.
