About this house rental
Welcome to Mousam Lake! Located in the heart of Southern Maine Lakes Region in Shapleigh Maine. Year round home! 3 bedrooms/ 3 queen beds and 2 twin beds. 1st FLOOR has living room looking out to the lake! Full kitchen with all the essentials and more for your stay. Washer/dryer on 1st floor. Upper level has master bedroom/full bath, another bedroom and full bath.
At the Lakehouse you will have private access to our lakefront and fabulous outdoor space! 2 large picnic tables, outdoor firepit, plenty of seating, cafe lighting, and gas grill.
Close to ski areas, tubing, snowboarding, outlets. Other activities: ice fishing, ice skating, snow shoeing, hiking, biking. Snow plowing upkeep in winter.
Dogs okay! $50 per dog per booking. Cats not okay.
We have 1 dock space for you to bring your boat or jet skis. We have Kayak rentals (3) available. And 2 jet ski rentals. Awesome swimming area. Jump in and cool off from the dock and swim to dock ladder to do it again!
WiFi tv’s, keypad entry, plenty of parking behind house. No traffic. No busy roads. Set deep off the main road. The area is only residential homes so there is no busy road traffic.
When you walk in, you’ll notice the pride we take in the Lakehouse. As members of this community, we personally handle all the upkeep. We’re always ready and happy to help with anything you might need during your stay. Each room is equipped with heat and air conditioning mini-split systems for extra comfort. In the summer, the whisper-quiet, efficient air conditioning is controlled by a remote—no clunky cold window units here! Security cameras are located only on the exterior for protection when the home is vacant and are turned off during guest stays. Thanks for checking out this beautiful property.

Excellent property and responsive hosts. We were two generations of 6 adults two teens and one golden retriever. All beds are listed as queen but the one on the first floor is full and next to a wall so getting in and out of the bed was a challenge for 70 year olds who needed a first floor bedroom. Primary suite is luxurious and bed is a super comfortable posturepedic . House is very clean, with updated bathrooms, nice showers. Appliances including the AC are all in good working order. Everything you could need for cooking is available. The lake is clean, busy on the weekend and quiet during the week. The view of the lake from the sitting area is very nice. I had hoped the access to the water would be more user friendly for seniors. There’s no beach and the bottom is a bit rocky. Sitting in chairs in shallow water is not possible. You have to jump or climb off the dock or climb down a low cement wall to access the water. The outside area with firepit is shady and we spent many hours, mornings, midday, and evenings there. The absolute highlight of the week for old and young was the jet ski. It’s worth every penny of the additional fee.

We were very pleased with the place. Lots of room to move around and have some friends over. Loved the kitchen. With two 90 year old parents the steps into the house were a little challenging to navigate but it wasn’t unexpected. Master bedroom was huge! Beds were comfortable. We really enjoyed the outdoor space and dock just for hanging out. Really sweet place. 5 stars.

The house was lovely, three full baths, three bedrooms very nice for my family. Great to be able to bring the dogs.
