Excellent location, great courtyard out back, and Callie is quick to respond to any question or concern. Planning a repeat weekend in the future!

Beds are really comfortable. And it’s nice that each room has a restroom. I wish there was an actual shower because the tubs are really narrow and felt like I was going to fall out while showering. And it’s nice having a parking spot and walk 1/2 a block to the downtown area because there is never any parking on the street. But would rent again when we come back to Sulphur springs.

When you spend this kind of money, you shouldn't ever have to buy trash can liners and dishwasher soap. They require you to remove your trash every day but for a 10-day stay we were given only a few liners and only 3 dishwasher pods. That plus the required late check in (4PM) and early checkout (10AM) means you're paying for 24 hours when your receive only 18. They ask your flight schedule, which we provided: 11:30AM. We tooled around for a bit waiting for check-in time but finally at 2PM, phoned both numbers asking if we could access the unit early. NO ONE ANSWERED THE PHONE. Not on either phone. So then we left a msg saying we were checking in at 2 and would leave if the room didn't look ready. We used the 6-digit code provided and accessed. The room had been cleaned, so we unpacked. The in-room directions said "use the provided key" but there was NO provided key. When we had trouble getting on WiFi (our fault) I phoned and mentioned that plus the missing key. They sent someone out to check the WiFi but chastised us for checking in early. BUT THEY DIDN'T ANSWER THE PHONE! They also said the directions for the key weren't up to date and that we had to memorize the 6-digit code for access. We ended up putting it on our phones but then we had to bring the phone to the pool, beach, etc. to make sure we didn't get locked out until we finally committed the code to memory. We've been coming to Hale Kai for 30 years. We won't use this service again.
