Sunset Island is a premier vacation destination located on 37 acres in Ocean City, right on the bay. This luxurious three-bedroom, two-bath home is wonderfully equipped with all the modern conveniences needed for the family vacation experience.
You'll be located just two blocks from the ocean. You'll also have access to a private bayside beach, an interactive fountain, the Clubhouse which includes a fitness center, a library, locker rooms, an indoor pool, an outdoor pool, and a baby wading pool, plus walking trails and a crabbing/fishing pier.
Things to Know
Condo package pricing (each condo package has an additional $15 fee paid to the condo association):
A building registration fee includes 6 facility passes and two parking passes (One pass is for a designated space in the parking garage 7’2 and one pass for parking on the clamshells). Children 3 and under do not require a facility pass. Additional facility passes are $70 per pass, per person per week. The fees are the following:
Winter (January 1- April 30 and October 1 – December 31) = $75
Spring (May 1 - May 25) = $110
Summer (Sunday BEFORE Memorial Day, May 26 to Saturday AFTER Labor Day, September 7) = $150
Fall (September 8 - September 30) = $110
Occupancy limits strictly enforced by the community.
This unit features access to a private bayside beach, clubhouse, fitness center, library, locker rooms, indoor pool, outdoor pool, baby wading pool, walking trails, and a crabbing/fishing pier.
Ocean City has adopted a noise control ordinance that makes it unlawful to cause or permit noise levels which exceed those established by the Department of the Environment of the State of Maryland (COMAR 26.02.03.02) or are in violation of Chapter 30, Article V of the Town Code. It shall be a violation of this agreement and grounds for eviction under Maryland law if these noise levels are exceeded as a result of activity on this property. Ocean City has other noise ordinances, which are criminal offenses if violated.
Parking notes: There is parking available for a fee and charges will apply for 2 vehicles.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 25 years of age to book. Guests under 25 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation.

This is the first time we stayed in Sunset Island. Over the many, many years we have been vacationing in Ocean City, we have only stayed in oceanfront or ocean side rentals (condos, townhomes, and homes). We were fortunate on this trip to choose to stay at Sunset Island and experience bayside living at its finest! Among Sunset Island’s many offerings, the serene atmosphere stands out for making us feel like we really got away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. We also enjoyed relaxing walks along the picturesque walking paths, swimming and playing volleyball in the large outdoor pool, having drinks by the bay at the outdoor bar, gazing at glorious sunsets, grabbing breakfast sandwiches at the little market, and hanging out as a family in the condo. The condo was lovely and has a nice layout with an open floorplan, perfect for our family. Traveling from the west coast, we also appreciated having linens provided and on the beds when we arrived. Check-In and Check-Out were easy, and the Vacasa representatives were very responsive to our needs. If you are looking for an idyllic setting to relax and enjoy all that Sunset Island and Ocean City have to offer, don’t miss an opportunity to stay here!

We had a great time at this condo. It was big enough for us and right around everything you needed.
The only problem we had was that it wasn’t cleaned very well before we came in. There was sand all over the floor and it was dirty. My 18 month olds feet were black and it says please take your shoes off. I contacted the vacasa about it and three days in a room said they were seeing if anyone could come clean it and then wouldn’t get a response back so I don’t know if I will use them again to rent here.
Other than that the place was great.

Can’t beat the location and resort, but the WiFi/cleaning provided by vacasa (management company) were not so great. The condo was dirty and the WiFi didn’t work. Reached out for help on the first day and was told a manager from Vacasa would follow up with me but never happened. Still had a great time with the family
