This unit, Hale Hui Kai 106, is one of Maui's hidden gems. Hale Hui Kai sits directly on the sand on one of the best beaches in the Hawaiian Islands, Keawakapu (Kay-Ah-Vah-Kah-Poo) Beach. Immerse yourself in the ultimate Maui beach vacation, with an ocean view from its private patio area, and immediate access twenty steps from the soft golden sand and warm, pristine Pacific.
It is no wonder that this beach is a local's favorite. It features vibrant and calm snorkeling reef practically right outside your door, warm-water swimming, wonderful sun-bathing (we supply beach chairs, cooler, and umbrella), and a store and indoor-outdoor restaurant/lounge one hundred yards away. Keawakapu Beach is Wailea's gateway beach, and accesses the famed Wailea Beach Path, with a half-dozen high end restaurants a short walk away.
The vibe at the condo complex is full beach mode, with a low-key and low-density feel, and an ocean front pool just 50 feet from the shoreline.

What a magical place! Walk out the front patio and be on the best beach ever - soft sand, warm water and flat drop off, great for the kids. They also loved the pool. The unit was very clean and well equipped, especially the kitchen. It even featured thoughtful things like coffee mugs for our morning walks on the beach. Lots to do in the surrounding areas, though we were grateful to have our rental car. Highly recommend and hope to be back!

We stayed in room 106 from July 27-Aug 2, 2024. The location is great about 25 steps right to the ocean, there is no ocean view. This is a 3 story condo there are people above you and beside you. It is not the quietest place you will hear all your neighbors especially in the morning when everyone gets up. The place was clean but it was much smaller then the pictures show. The master room is very small with hardly any room to walk around, the guest room has the two twin beds and my teenagers said it was fine. The couch however does not pull out so that was a problem since there were 6 of us I had a 5 and 11 year old. only one person can really sleep there. The upside was it was like having a private beach as there really was no one there so not crowded at all. The building faces the west so there was a beautiful sunset every night. Just depends what you are looking for location was great but is a small place and loud at times.
