This house was absolutely perfect. We had plenty of room for parking including the truck and boat trailer. The rooms are beautiful and the entire home is spacious. Having the private dock right in front of the house is so nice. The location is perfect, right next to the boatyard restaurant/bar and within walking distance from so many other places. Absolutely 10/10 in every category.

My husband and I wanted to take our dad’s and our kids on a vacation close to home. We found this rental and it was perfect for what we needed. The house is very clean and decorated very nicely. The only complaint I have is that the description for the rental was if you stayed more than two nights you got a welcome gift of a meat and cheese assortment and a bottle of wine. We stayed three nights and we did not receive a welcome gift. I did ask the owner about it, and he did not respond. Other than that, we had a wonderful time and we would definitely stay in the area again.

The location of this property is perfect! Close to things to do! Right on the water and the boat dock is so convenient! The house was clean and spacious! They had all of the basic necessities but there is a nearby Dollar General (we walked to) if you need something specific! Our 4 year old Yorkie had a great time also (:

This is our favorite place to stay when we come in town to visit family! This house is perfectly located on Buckeye Lake with convenience to everything you need. It’s updated, well decorated and super comfortable for our family of 4, including two teen boys. The owners are very attentive and super easy to work with. They will help with anything you need! This place was the perfect little getaway. The place was gorgeous, the beds were so comfy, it had plenty of seating, had access to the lake, had a fire pit just steps away, and a covered deck. It’s even located right next to a restaurant. Would highly recommend this place and would love to go back.

Online listing says sleeps 10 which would be inaccurate. I would suggest 8 people comfortably as 2 of us had to share the couch (regular couch). Home was nice and neat and very comfortable. It was a beautiful location and we appreciated the extra parking that was available. Home was well stocked with towels and sheets. The property owners were great to communicate with. We truly enjoyed our stay!

We only stayed 2 nights at this lovely home and would have loved to stay longer! We were in Buckeye Lake for my dads memorial service. The location was perfect, a 3 min walk. The property was very nice. Comfortable beds, beautifully decorated and right on the lake and bike trail. We brought our dog and it was so great. The property doesn’t have the most secure fence bud it worked out. Highly recommend. The owners are so nice.

Location of the house is great and the house itself is spacious. However, the rest is not as good. The day before check-in, I received a message from the host indicating which dock is the dock that we could use and they referred me to the photos in the listing to identify the dock. We arrived at the house to find out that the dock was occupied and asked the host. At this point, I was told that because most of the guests do not use the dock , the dock indicated with the red arrow in the listing was rented out for the season. The host then told me that they never promised that we could use a specific dock despite their check-in message explicitly describing which dock we could use and the red arrow in their listing photos pointing to the dock. With some back and forth, the host managed to have one of the boats at the dock moved and we were able to dock our boat there. Later, we found out that the code to the door of the house that was provided in the check-in message could not unlock the door. I contacted the host and was told to try again but the code still did not work. Luckily we ran into the cleaning lady during check-in so we called her and got a different code that we ended up using to unlock the door. The code that was given to me by the host did not work during our entire stay. The listing says there is a fenced yard but the fence has two big gaps where a dog could get out.

The House location is great. Within walking distance to several restaurants and stores. We enjoyed our stay, and you can’t beat the lakefront access! Everything was just as pictured. We will definitely be making the trip back over the next several years. If you are bringing a boat or other watercraft and want to use the House Dock, I recommend checking with the owner before your stay to ensure it's fully available. Also, if bringing a boat, note that Buckeye lake is shallow with an avg. depth of 6th ft.

location location location. In my opinion the 2 best spots to be on the lake is near the boatyard or near the winery. This is not a sleepy lake so if you are looking for lots of quiet pick a spot in a cove. The catwalk in front of the house has an energy for life! We would have loved a front open porch but we just pulled the patio furniture out and sat in the grass.

Newly remodeled as far as I can tell- This home has all of the amenities anyone could ask for and was spic and span upon arrival. Location is key and this place is in the middle of it all. The host was more than gracious after I accidentally booked the wrong date last year and we worked it out. Would definitely stay again in the summer months.
