About this country house rental
The River House is a large farmhouse, that borders the scenic Juniata River, with a stone section built in the 1790s. Enjoy canoeing, fishing, swimming, campfires, and more! Watch and listen to the trains across the river as they go by. There is plenty of space to relax, but also so many things to do for those looking for entertainment. The home comes with a large 1 acre plus yard for recreation and games. The back porch is equipped with a grill to compliment the firepit. This place is amazing! It is huge! We had 19 people and didn't feel crowded at all. Not only was there a great room for all of us to gather, but other nooks for smaller groups. And the kitchen table seats 18 people and has 2 refrigerators. Although the weather was cold and snowy, River House was cozy and warm. Host was very quick to respond to queries. Grocery store really close by.

House, was really nice. Very clean good amenities. Elvin is very responsive. We enjoyed our stay.

The kitchen was well equipped. It would be helpful to have a Keurig in addition to the coffee maker. The other item we missed was a mixer. It was wonderful having two refrigerators! Because of the sudden change in temperature, we couldn’t find instructions on how to manage the heat! Elvin did respond to our calls about it quickly.

The property was beautiful and it was interesting to stay in a home with so much history. The interior had a problem with black flies in the kitchen and the upstairs bathrooms felt very dated. The location was perfect for a family wedding.
