Great hosts! The house is beautiful with super comfortable beds (even the bunk beds). The property is even more beautiful. It was so peaceful.

We had a fabulous time. You need to rent the golf carts or take a 4 WD to get around the property- I highly recommend the golf carts. We had so much fun driving around sighting animals. We floated the river several times (had a suburban that could haul us back from Guion) with paddle boards, inflatable boats, and a kayak. Highly recommend SUPs…. Just be sure to keep them in the shade prior to water. We had 2 explode after inflating while we were loading up. We rented both golf carts so we could drive gear to river by the house and have another one to get us there after our float. Knocked a couple stars off for cleaning bc it needs to be more deeply cleaned each time. Attention needs to be paid to out of sight areas. I cleaned the garbage disposal thoroughly to help with the fruit fly infestation. Also cleaned the stick vacuum filter- so much dirt in it that it was rock hard. The dishwasher defaults to “rinse” after use. Be sure to change to a wash cycle or dishes are only being rinsed off rather than cleaned. But these little things would not keep me from returning- we saw bald eagles, turkey, a skunk family (friendly little crew- we didn’t get TOO close - they were ok with us watching them), otters, armadillos, deer- including 3 fawns. AND THE VIEWS! You have to float around from the property swimming area to Guion at least once!!More rentals being built on this property- highly highly recommend. It’s big and there’s room for many more!

My family and I went and enjoyed every second of it! The place was beautiful, well kept, clean, had everything needed for cooking, keeping busy and the hosts were amazing! Kathy and her husband were great, they met us at the main road and drove us down into the property and showed us around, the ins and outs of the place, made sure we had everything we needed, checked on us throughout our stay and were extremely friendly and easy to talk to! Being on the river there can be things that happen naturally, like flooding etc, they have a plan for that if it ever was to happen during your stay, they literally had the best set up, for everything. The creek/bayou was super nice, the area down by it was a great place to chill and cook out or build a fire. The fishing and kayak/canoeing was fantastic! The wildlife was also awesome, we seen turkeys, deer, the baby eagle in its nest (which was giant) and the parent of it! So cool! Bonus, the owners of the property even called to checked on us! If you see this and you question if this is the place for you, whether family time or just couple time, it’s a YES, DO IT!!! This place is worth every penny we paid!!! If we ever find our way back up that way, we would definitely stay again, no doubt!

The house and property were great. Perfect for my husband, myself and our four kids. If you plan to fish and/or swim from the property, the golf cart is a must! Thankful for that option for sure. The hosts were extremely nice and helpful and even gave us a tour of the new tree house being built on the property! We will definitely be back!
