The five star rating was location and wheelchair accessibility. Location was perfect for us--- Hole 4 of Mauna Lani North golf course. There isn't any ocean in site but with a private pool and hot tub it didn't seem necessary. Very little communication with hosts so we didn't know how to heat the pool. The accessibility was really good considering it isn't listed on their post. Since we have a wheelchair bound person we gind we usually just have to look through the pictures. No steps to entrance to front or back of house. Large walk in wheelchair accesible shower. There was a shower chair available but it was too low. We found other options. The place worked out great for us.

Home was clean, nicely furnished and very well stocked, and host was extremely responsive to all questions. A great home base for exploring the Big Island!

What a wonderful place to stay. We had a fantastic time. There is not one thing to complain about with the property. The kitchen was very well stocked. The beds were very comfortable. The pool was fabulous. So much room in the house for our party of nine. Thanks for having us.

House was very well equipped (kitchen and linens especially good) and host communication was excellent. Location was outstanding. Beautiful home. There were however a few issues with bugs and the roof leaked inside a little bit when it rained. There also weren't good instructions for the tvs, keys, key fobs for the house/neighborhood/beach club.
