About this house rental

Key Largo and the Florida Keys... an unhurried, unspoiled natural paradise offering spectacular sunsets, gentle breezes and beautiful protected waters with abundant marine life for scuba diving and snorkeling. Key Largo is the dive capital of the United States. This 2 story canal front home is roughly 6 miles by boat to Molasses Reef Sanctuary Preservation Area, the most popular dive reef in North America.

Our Stary Net home is 50 miles from Miami, 2 hours from Key West and 2 hours from Fort Lauderdale airports. This canal waterfront private home is located at mile marker 96.5 in Key Largo. It is convenient to the finest local shops, restaurants as well as world class fishing, snorkeling and scuba diving.

The home comfortably sleeps 6-8 people with 1,700 sq ft of living space. The 2 story open living space is airy and relaxing; which makes this home an enjoyable retreat of calming ocean and canal views.

The lower floor living space has a pull out sofa couch, loveseat, smart TV, fully equipped kitchenette with 2 bar stools, half bath that leads to an enclosed outdoor shower with hot and cold water. The large french doors open to the outdoor living space. Grill dinners or your catch while watching the family enjoying the canal on kayaks, paddle boards, or just floating around. The outdoor space has several lounging areas some covered. Kick your feet up and enjoy resting in the hammock under the palm trees. The yard is fenced and a gate leads you to the dock where there is a ladder to enter the canal for swimming or floating around. Manatees frequent the canal along with many fish species. Enjoy fishing right from the 40 foot dock. The home is a paddle away from Rodriguez Island and Dove Island which hosts several sandbar areas.

The upper floor hosts an open floor plan with a fully equipped kitchen, dining table, sleeper sofa, love seat and two chairs. Open the french doors to the upstairs patio with sofa and 2 chairs where you can enjoy the morning sunrise with a cup of coffee or a mimosa. The upstairs porch has a set of stairs that leads you to the lower level and fenced in yard. The upper floor hosts 3 bedrooms. The master has a king bed, smart TV, and private bathroom. The two guest rooms have queen beds and share a full bathroom.

This home is well equipped for any type of vacation from a restful retreat to days filled with sun and fun. It has all you need to enjoy all the Florida Keys have to offer.

Stary Net was perfect for our family of 6! The home is spacious, clean and extremely well-stocked. It is located in a quiet neighborhood and is exactly as shown in the listing. Information provided before our stay was so thorough we didn't need to contact the hosts for anything during our stay! I would highly recommend this home and would certainly stay here again if visiting Key Largo.

The noisiest part of the construction next door and at the end of the street was mostly complete before I left. If you're into sunrises and moonrises, this is the place to be at the end of the street. I happened to be there during Cornell's Backyard Bird Count and the second story porch is the place to be for that. Watch for the Osprey's which have a nest at the entrance to the subdivision on the pole in the median. (You should be able to hear them from the home as well, even if you don't see them.) The pelican's diving into the canal do not disappoint either. If you watch closely, you'll see them circling to the rest of the canal. The home was super clean. If you want for something to cook with, I don't know what it could be. Renee, our hos, was wondeful to answer all of my questions. The king-sized master bed was wonderful and so was the outdoor shower. Our guests enjoyed the other bedroom (of 3) and the other upstairs bath. If you like to hike, Windley Key State Park has that and interesting history at the ranger station. They also have nice post cards. I think this may have been my favorite place to hike. The Key Largo city park is cute, but if you want to be out in nature, go to Windley. I also went to several other parks. Any way, obviously, I highly recommend Stary Net.
