About this cottage rental
Sit on the sun porch with a cup of coffee and watch the birds, the breeze tousling the marsh grass and the sparkling waterways of the marsh and Cohasset Harbor. In the evenings, sit by the firepit with a cocktail in hand and immerse yourself in spectacular sunsets. The peace & serenity this private corner of the world can provide is restorative.
Use our kayaks to explore the marsh waterways & islands, Cohasset Harbor and the Atlantic Ocean. The beach is a short, lovely walk away.
On cooler nights, you can gather in the kitchen and enjoy the fireplace while playing cards and games. Or nestle into the comfortable Ethan Allen swivel gliders and catch your favorite movie.
You may never want to leave Stella Serena, but it is a short train ride or car trip into Boston. Scituate, and the nearby towns of Cohasset and Hingham are full of history, beautiful homes, shopping, dining and scenic views.
The cottage has everything needed to ensure a comfortable visit. It's warm, inviting and cozy. Plush beds & bedding, fast wifi, 2 hot showers inside and one outside, as well as linens, towels, magnifying mirrors, shampoo & bodywash. The kitchen & laundry rooms are fully equipped and the gas grill and fire pit are available seasonally. The property may be under video surveillance.

The Salt Marshes of Treasure Island is a gated, tree lined property with resident access only. Guests feel like they have escaped to their own private estate. Stella Serena is one of a trio of homes we have available at the Salt Marshes. Stella Maris, across the yard is a 6 bedroom/3 bathroom home that sleeps 12 and has wonderful sunset and marsh views. Stella Sorelle, across the street is a 2 bedroom/2 bathroom cotage that sleeps 4 and is in the center of the island.

This was our third time staying at this property and everything was perfect yet again. The house was extremely clean, the beds were very comfortable, the views were stunning, the kitchen was well stocked, and the bikes and games were an added bonus. The check-in process was easy and Mary (the host) has always been amazing and accommodating. The location is perfect for taking the train or the ferry into Boston for the day. We also enjoyed just relaxing by the fire pit in Adirondack chairs while watching the sunset over the salt marshes. Everything was lovely and we hope to return again next year.

This property is meticulous with everything you would need to have a lovely family gathering overlooking the beautiful salt marshes. I grew up in Scituate and was home visiting family. This place is so peaceful and the views are amazing. A lovely home all around

Our stay at Stella Serena in Scituate was absolutely wonderful. From the moment we arrived, it was clear how much care and thought had gone into making the space welcoming, comfortable, and relaxing. The cottage was spotless, beautifully maintained, and full of charming coastal touches that made it feel like a true getaway.The location couldn’t have been better—just a short walk to the beach for a morning walk, with stunning views of the Salt Marsh and the peaceful sounds of outside. A quick drive to Scituate Harbor as well. The open kitchen and living area created a warm, inviting space that naturally brought everyone together, making it easy to share meals, relax, and enjoy quality family time. Another highlight of our stay was the outdoor seating area. It was perfectly set up to take in the view, with comfortable seating that made it easy to spend hours outside. It truly created such a peaceful, memorable experience and was the perfect place to unwind for the weekend of a family wedding in Scituate. Everything we needed was provided, and the hosts were incredibly responsive, kind, and helpful prior to our stay. Everything you needed was in a binder provided in the home and was truly helpful. It truly felt like a home away from home and was a relaxing family weekend away. We would absolutely return and highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable stay in Scituate.

Our stay at Stella Serena could not have been better. The location was perfect, the newly renovated house was breathtakingly lovely as well as immaculate. Dealing with our host was easy and very supportive while trying to navigate VRBO's terrible (and at times) non-functioning website. Check in was a breeze (except for the issues with VBRO) and our host gave us excellent instructions before our trip to get to the house, and get inside. We were greeted by a lovely gift from the host as well as an informative and thoughtful book about the house and it's history, how to locate everything, as well as instructions for wi-fi, fireplace, appliances, and Heat/AC controls. Also included were local attractions of interest, nearby restaurant recommendations, travel information, and emergency contact information.The beds were very comfortable as well as the furniture inside and outside. The kitchen was well appointed. We enjoyed our time here and hope to return in the future. Thanks very much to our hosts!
