We visited the island and stayed at Jewels Inlet this past weekend. We have stayed in the cottage once before and wanted to enjoy the larger house with our kids. The location was perfect. The home had plenty of space to accommodate a larger family. We will be coming back for sure.

This house is in a great location for beach visits. Straight across the road and about a 3 minute walk and you are at the waves.
Similarly, it's a 20 minute walk to Iguana's, or a 5 minute walk to Crab Daddys, so very convenient to restaurants, as well.
Overall very clean and a cool old house with hardwood floors and lovely central staircase. A lower level bedroom for the guests who don't/can't climb stairs.
The kitchen is not real well outfitted so consider bringing spices, coffee fixings, olive oil, and other favorite cooking items. I can't really complain about the kitchen though - This place is also very reasonably priced considering it's on St Simons and in such a great location.
Would rent again, for sure.

We had plenty of room. The location was great, able to walk a short distance and be at the beach. Restaurants were very close by.

This house is in a great location! You can walk to beaches and several restaurants. Lots of parking. House is spacious with several living rooms and bedrooms. However, the bathrooms all had issues. One upstairs sink was completely clogged, very low water pressure and all the drains were very slow. Walls were very dirty, the bannister was loose and unstable—my mother in law fell and hurt her knee because of it. Heating units on lower level don’t all work. There are some GREAT rentals in SSI but this one needs improvements.
