We are overall very happy with the property. There were just a couple of things that were somewhat annoying/unexpected as we had ungraded significantly from our usual budget.
We always go to the OBX in the spring. We love to listen to the ocean, and most of the time we can keep the windows open. Some windows in this home had no screens, and some others were of no use keeping flies and mosquitoes out. This was really disappointing to us.
We had a couple of minor issues like smoke detector batteries and door code issues, but Resort Realty was ON IT and addressed the issues quickly for us.
It didnt seem the spring clean had been done yet, but that was probably bc we arw renting in off season.

No beach towels. Only a towel packet per guest that had 1 small bath towel, 1 hand towel & 1 washcloth. No hand towels in any of the bathrooms, although contract said there would be. Only 1 dish towel. No bath mats. No hot water on 2 floors when we arrived, so only top floor that had 1 shower had hot water. Maintenance arrived the next day, we were advised not to use water on floors 1 & 2. After 9pm this issued was resolved. When contacting the management I asked for some type of refund because of the hot water issue. I was told by the management company “the owner declined to make any adjustment & refused to refund anything for our inconvenience”. Be prepared to bring your beach towels, bath towels, hand towels, dish towels, dish cloths unless you want to be doing laundry daily!!
