Ruby’s house is extra clean and comfortable , with a great outdoor covered seating area and a rocker filled back porch thats a great spot to watch the day end. This property is directly across the road from harrahs Cherokee casino and all the restaurants and events harrahs offers while having a private yard and the green lush beauty of the great smokie mts. We had a delightful time in Cherokee over the 4th weekend. We really enjoyed the house and especially the 2 outdoor spots. We would love to stay here again next year.If any improvements are planned in the future I would suggest a new shower head in the master bath, an AC unit in the front bedroom and upgrading the TV’s with Roku or Amazon fire stick or new smart tv’s. Trust me, no issues at all with the house and everyone enjoyed the stay.

We had a very pleasant stay. We loved the outdoor spaces. Used the grill one evening for dinner and it was very clean and easy to use. Rooms and beds very comfortable. Kitchen had everything we needed. Host very nice and was easy to communicate with and very responsive. would highly recommend this place to stay in Cherokee.

The house location couldn’t be more perfect. It’s in the center of Cherokee and near the casino, yet it’s very private. I grew up in a house like this and loved the way Janean is keeping it as true to it's history as possible. The house was very clean and we loved sitting in the rockers on the back outdoor porch. While on the back porch we saw visiting rabbits and a family of deer two of our mornings. What a treat. The memorabilia of Ruby's life and her struggles and accomplishments makes this house really special. Janean worked with us adding an extra day due to the logistics of getting there after Hurricane Helene. It's a beautiful area of NC with many shops and we enjoyed driving around seeing this wonderful area.

Ruby's House is one of the best VRBOs I've ever rented. Three couples stayed for a long weekend. We could not have asked for better accommodations. It's an easy walk to the casino for gaming fun and a short drive to enjoy the surrounding area. Communication with Jenean was great! She provided all the necessary details leading up our stay and was quick to respond to questions. The house was extremely clean and wonderfully comfortable. The "patio" in the garage was perfect for early mornings and again in the evenings to relax and enjoy catching up. Not one complaint about even the smallest thing from our group. Ruby's will be our go-to if we return to Cherokee. Highly recommend!! (Totally unrelated to the house, Fall seems to be a very active time for yellow jackets in the area, so beware.)

I’ve visited Cherokee many times and this trip was my first time staying here. I came up for a birthday fishing trip with some friends. The house location couldn’t be more perfect. Even though it’s in the center of Cherokee activity it’s very private. The house is clean and the outdoor space was great for long conversations on the rocking chairs. We’ll definitely be back!
